Bandai Namco has been collaborating with Nintendo on a number of the latter’s projects for several years running now, and now the company has cemented that partnership in a much more official capacity with the formal announcement of Studio 2 and Studio S, a team dedicated primarily to working on projects commissioned by Nintendo.
Through the team’s formal establishment has only just happened, it has been around for a while, and has provided development support on a number of major Nintendo releases in the last decade, including the likes of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, Mario Kart Tour, Mario Kart 7, Mario Sports Superstars, and ARMS.
As per the studio’s official website, it currently employees over 150 people across a number of disciplines, including art, programming, and design. The studio is currently also looking to recruit additional employees, with job listings mentioning that it’s working on 3D action game commissioned by Nintendo. Said title has also been mentioned in previous job ads, and could potentially be remake of an older release.
