After Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline was leaked and DICE reaffirmed its support for Battlefield 4, it’s now Battlefield 3 which is in the news. The first person shooter – which helped kickstart the series’ transition into a more modern multiplayer era – is available for free on Origin. This is part of EA’s “On the House” deal which allows for one free game every month on Origin. Head here to pick up Battlefield 3 completely for free.
The offer is valid till June 3rd but you’ll be able to keep it permanently if you download now. Though it doesn’t have Levolution or any of those other fancy new Frostbite 3 tricks, Battlefield 3 still boasts a very solid multiplayer mode – highlighted by Conquest – and a fairly good single-player campaign. At the very least, the campaign is superior to Battlefield 4’s nonsense.
Meanwhile, Visceral is gearing up to showcase more Battlefield: Hardline at E3 2014. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know below.
