One of the best games on the Wii U, Platinum’s Bayonetta 2, is now available for just $30- Nintendo have gone ahead and reprinted the title, and are offering it standalone (it was previously available with an enhanced port of the original Bayonetta) for half the price that it was available for before. Which makes it an amazing deal for just about anybody, what with it being one of the finest games of this generation and everything.
This reprint also has a couple of other, interesting implications. The most obvious one is that now, what with Bayonetta‘s inclusion in Smash, and this reduced price, Bayonetta 2 may be exposed to a far broader audience than ever before; and the other one being that Nintendo reprinting the game indicates that the initial print run is now sold through, meaning the game managed to meet Nintendo’s expectations, whatever they were.
It’s encouraging to know, since that implies that a Bayonetta 3, also maybe funded by Nintendo, may not be entirely out of the question.
