Bethesda: “None of the Games Announced are Being Developed for Wii U”

Pete Hines states that the console "is not on our radar" in the near-term.

Bethesda VP of public relations and marketing Pete Hines has again stated that the company is not currently developing any games for Nintendo’s Wii U system.

Speaking to Joystiq, Hines stated that, “It’s largely a hardware thing.” As of now, the company wants to “make the games that we want to make, on whatever platforms will support them as developed.

“None of the game’s we’ve announced are being developed for the Wii U, so it’s guaranteed that none of those games are coming to Wii U. Will any future ones come out? I can’t say for sure, in our near-term focus it’s not on our radar.”

Considering to games that were announced, is it likely that there’s something unannounced that could be heading to the Wii U (say, Fallout 4)? It’s a stretch for sure, but even then, the absence of the publisher will be felt for the platform given that other titles like The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within won’t be heading to the Wii U any time soon.
