Show me where it says it has to be 1080p,I can’t find it.You would think with the dev kit Sony provides 1080p would be easy to achieve.

I LOVE 1080p but I hate when I see that Sony imposes them regardless the quality of the game. I PREFER lesser resolution but smoother frame rate. TW3 is quite not playable in some areas.

It’s not Sony who made the entire decision for 1080p but the fans and developers.When designing the PS4 they reached out to the fans and developers for what they wanted in the next console and 1080p was the most requested feature between them both. So in short,regardless of what you or I alone wanted, people got what they asked for. Its also why I think the PS4 is flying off the shelves,giving their install base what they asked for.

Can’t wait for the incoming PC TO Xbox One streaming Phil Spencer has confirmed, once that lands and I expect very soon, that will mean that you will be able to play games at a higher resolution and FPS then both the PS4 and Xbox One ON your Xbox One in the comfort of your living room.
