Bloodborne Patch 1.07 Prepares The Game For The Old Hunters Expansion

New update preps the game for the expansion.

Ahead of the launch of Bloodborne’s first (and only) bit of substantial post launch content, the expansion pack The Old Hunters, From Software and Sony Japan have gone ahead and released a brand new patch for Bloodborne. Patch 1.07 is a massive update, and among other things, it lays the groundwork for The Old Hunters.

In addition to that, the update also ‘dramatically changes the online component’ of Bloodborne, as well as adding Leagues (which I imagine are like Covenants in Dark Souls), the ability to summon NPC characters to help you progress through the game, and new NPCs to the game world. The update is massive, so make sure to clear out some hard drive space. The update is out now, while the expansion itself launches this Tuesday. Matchmaking for co-op play has also been made a bit easier to facilitate the online community a bit more.

Bloodborne is out now exclusively on the PS4.
