Destiny didn't really live up to its own hype. Not only did the loot combat not measure up to previous Borderlands games in terms of mission variety, i also think the Crucible multiplayer modes fall beneath the average CoD game as far as weapon customization and number of maps.

Having Destiny release ahead of both Borderlands prequel and Advanced Warfare was the best thing for those two games. It allowed people to adjust their hype levels because of this disappointment and not assume it will dethrone either respective games in their own genre.

All borderlands has to fear is gearbox. Due to their treatment of their fans and disrespectful attitude I'll never buy anything from them again unless I get it used. I don't want them earning a dime off me after aliens colonial marines and while I absolutely love borderlands I cant support a developer like them
