That’s not true my friend. I own a PS3 and a 360. I fully expected to purchase both consoles next gen as well. There is a certainty I will be buying a PS4. There is no way in hell I will be buying an Xbox One, not with their awful policies that restrict software I purchase and an operating system that shutters 3gb of the already inferior ddr3 (compared to Sony’s gddr5) for functionality I can already do better with my smart TV and tablet. The PS3 leads in worldwide sales, despite releasing more than one year after the 360. The PS3 was not “dominant at first”. It started slowly and picked up steam and is now rolling because Sony’s first party developers continue to deliver game of the generation contenders like The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls while Microsoft is doing who knows what. No they said later on in an interview that drm will be up to the publishers if they want to put. Like online passes, basically whatever they had for ps3.

They need to crap on Sony, to make it less appealing.
If they weren’t protecting the Xbox one, they would add the power/ bandwidth of each console
Xbox one raw power : 1.2 tflops
Ps4 raw power : 1.8 tflops
