Call of Duty 2015: First Gameplay Details Possibly Hinted By Job Listing

The takeaway from this is, Infinity Ward may be working on the next game instead of Treyarch.

I mean, at this point, we all know and expect that there will be a new Call of Duty next year. We are all way past the point of complaining about the series’ annualization- as long as the games can maintain the kind of quality that Advanced Warfare showed off this year, I don’t think anyone will care that there is one a year.

So yes, the fact that there will be a new Call of Duty game next year probably surprises no one, but what will it be like? A new job listing on Infinity Ward’s page reveals just what kinds of gameplay features the next Call of Duty game may have.

The job listing asks for a candidate who can

  • Collaborate with designers to design and author new weapons, equipment, abilities, and play mechanics.
  • Collaborate with animators to improve the fidelity of our first-person weapon animation.
  • Contribute creatively to our play-control and game design.

As well as one who has strong design sensibilities. The applicant should also have experience working with AAA games.

All of this sounds good, but personally, I am just bummed that the new Call of Duty might be by Infinity Ward again, as opposed to Treyarch.
