I think it depends on how good a COD this turns out to be. Activision were wise to back a new venture in Destiny, but they need to branch out and get their developers or new partners like Bungie to make something new. Don’t milk each franchise for all it’s worth. Update your tech sufficiently to show that you’re in it to make a better experience and bring new things to gaming for the gamer.

I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if they were milking a wide variety of games, while also actually pushing those titles forward, instead of sticking to the same stuff, all of the time.

We’ll see what happens.
They were lucky to have as much financial success as they have done with COD, I mean an entire generation of ridiculous sales is better than most, especially on what was basically a yearly release and across virtually every worthwhile platform in the home.

It was inevitable. Activision has never had a hit they didn’t milk until it was dead. Look at Guitar Hero or before that, Tony Hawk. Kotick sees gaming like a cow that you milk until all it produces is blood.

Save some for later? No way.
