I guess I'm lucky that I held off on the military shooters for so long. I always used to play niche fps games like shadowrun, lost planet and perfect dark zero back then. I first started the series with black ops 1 and first got big into the multiplayer in black ops 2. Now with black ops 3 I'm just riding high and enjoying every level of the game fully. The zombies, the campaign, amazing.. I have barely even gotten around to multiplayer yet but that too is a lot of fun.

I really like the extra layers of play that a lot of older fps games have used. I'm happy to see some of it here in this game too. Like double jumps and wall running. Shadowrun was the end all best example of innovation in an fps game, but it wasn't very popular and that definitely counts for something with an online game.... I still miss having that 8 meter teleport in any direction and through walls/floors though lol.... And the hang glider backpack perk was pretty snazzy too. Stuff like that makes the game more fun, it's an added layer to play with and master. Not to mention you get a lot of fun and unique encounters from crafty players using these tricks to their fullest.

I'm hoping next years cod will go even further in this direction, but I don't have much faith in the other team. Treyarch seems to have the better design talent.
