Call of Duty: Ghosts Wii U Release Still Unsure, Mark Rubin Clarifies Earlier Remarks

Producer Mark Rubin doesn't have any info on a release for Nintendo's console.

Last week, Call of Duty: Ghosts producer Mark Rubin remarked during E3 that a Wii U release for the game was “probably in the next-gen bin, but we’re not actually talking about Wii U yet. ‘Cause we want to keep it mysterious.”

However, this was mistakenly thought to mean that the game would be coming to the console. Later, GamesIndustry International clarified the same. “Ha! You know that’s funny, because I don’t even know the answer to that. I don’t. I was trying to say in the interview [that] I really don’t know and I’m not supposed to talk about it. I’m not supposed to talk about the fact that I don’t know.”

When asking if the Wii U could handle Call of Duty: Ghosts, Rubin stated that, “I imagine [it could], yeah. If you look at the hardware specs, I think it would be more in line with 360 and PS3, but I’m not sure. There could be some things [in the hardware] that bump it up a little higher than that.

“I haven’t played with it enough to know. I have one at home, and I think it’s cool; I can’t stop playing ZombiU.”

Call of Duty: Ghosts is currently slated to release on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PC and PS3.
