Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Will Allow Unlocked Skins and Purchases to be Carried Forward from Modern Warfare 2

Activision has stated that equipment for which the skins are being carried forward between the two games has to exist in the new game.

Activision has announced that, for the first time in the history of the Call of Duty franchise, players will be able to carry forward all the things they’ve bought and unlocked in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, including Bundles and Operators, into the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The company has stated, however, that the content that can be carried over into Modern Warfare 3 has to exist in the game. An example given by the blog post making the announcement is that if Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t have a specific piece of equipment in its game modes, skins players unlocked for that equipment won’t carry over between the two games. The company has also confirmed that Wartracks music will also not be carried over.

Activision has kicked off proper marketing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The game got new trailer earlier this week showing confirming that the primary antagonist in the game will be Vladimir Makarov, who has in the past also served as the primary antagonist of the original Modern Warfare trilogy.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is slated for release on November 10.
