maube not sales. the problem is that COD became so popular that it will sell even if its bad. but score yes. cod isn’t even that good. it just has that powerfull mp.

I don’t think it’ll match MW2 sales (certainly not in the initial stages of release) but I still think the gamer support will be excellent. If the game delivers from a multiplayer perspective, I can see the long term sales picking up strongly.

MW2 mutiplayer is great, but has some severe limitation from making it the best IMHO.

MW2 encourages solo gameplay with a focus on the Kill Streaks that detract from any real objective based gameplay.

Whilst the tag for MW2 is modern warfare, some of the most effective tactics in multiplayer simple revolve around knifing people, using akimbo shotguns or spaming explosive rounds to achieve easy kills. This disconnect with the core philosiphy of modern combat detracts somewhat from the enjoyment of the game itself.

MW2 has servers based ONLY in the US which creates lag issues for people OS as well.

Not wanting to gripe at MW2 – it still represents an excellent gameplay experience, but I think what Bad Company 2 is looking to bring has the potential to outshine it. Whether this will translate to direct sales however remains to be seen.

No way. BFBC2 is garbage gameplay (so is MW2 haha).

BFBC2 is repetitive yet chaotic and badly organized. On an individual level its very slow paced (you have to walk a lot slowly to find enemies and it takes time to set things up),but on a wider scale, it is way too faced paced. You can easily be killed wherever you are because of the destructible buildings. It’s kind of ridiculous.

All in all both games are downers, I’d give em 6/10. They run smoothly, got good graphics, but lack the detailed and strategic elements of SOCOM (Ps2 versions) or GRAW (360)

it simply will not
call of duty 3 has its amount of sales because it was reasonably known and had an alright game
call of duty 4 started off with a reasonable amount of sales but when people realized how fantastic the game was that figure shot up
world at war had its sales because cod4 people were hoping for something similar or better
cod6 had its sales because of the epic scale of the marketing campaign plus the 14 million cod4 players who were looking for a better version of cod4 after world at war dissapointed them

The Battlefield BC2 beta was a tremendously fun multiplayer experience. I stopped playing MW2 online entirely when it came out (and the beta was only one map and mode!). The game emphasizes teamwork over run-and-gun. Camping effectiveness can be limited by including a medic in your squad, who can revive downed teammates. That being said, the game still requires you to play a lot more “smartly” than MW2, and IMO, it deserves to sell well, if not better than MW2.

Modern Campfare 2 was/is only good now if you’re playing with your buddies.
Even that, I get pissed off from some air craft coming down on my ass and killing me. *note from a camper camping away..

Love the BFBC2 beta, hopefully they have just as much game modes as cod though.

I am a fan of both games, and was playing MW2 moments ago.

Firstly, MW2 story was very poor as a story, even IW say they just came up with loads of epic moments and threw them together.

Graphics, um ok, I have a gaming PC, I play MW2 maxed at FULL HD. The HD videos of BFBC 2 look way better, and they are from console, the PC version of BFBC 2 will be DX11, and blow MW2’s graphics away.

Gameplay, is different between each game, but without playing how can you tell which will have the better, you can’t.

Sales, is totally irrelevant to game quality, but of course MW2 will sell better.

Sales? nope

but the game itself, imo i think the battlefield series is better than cod, and having said that i also played the beta which i just enjoyed every minute of it, so i think this game will be a big hit.
