castlevania is what all other games should be. before anybody calls it a rip off of GOW, GOW ripped castle vania before.

this game was perfect to me. lots of bosses beatiful design and lots lots of bonuses. i can go on and on but i’ll just say its to 3 games of all time for me.

Sir, allow me to remind you that the Castlevania series was the pioneer in this genre on 3d with Castlevania 64 and legacy of Darkness for N65, so we could better say that God of war is a ripoff of this two games.

In reply to Red. Just because a game is a rip off of another title (which we're pretty sure Castlevania is not, despite the fact that it resembles God of War heavily), doesn't mean that it isn't a good game. Dante's Inferno was a complete rip-off of God of War, yet it was still very good.

Was God of War really just a Devil May Cry ripoff? Was Devil May Cry just a next generation ripoff of Nightmare Creatures, right down to the secondary weapons?

The “X is a ripoff of Y” argument has been played to death. I imagine today’s mainstream gamer who seem to have no idea that games existed before Halo and Call of Duty that weren’t named Mario, but I think the core gamers out there understand that the God of War style of gameplay predates God of War by quite a few years.
