Everything you need to know about Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a platformer developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. A follow up to 2017’s collection of remakes for the original Crash trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, it is the fourth chronological game in the series, the eighth mainline instalment, and the first new mainline game in the franchise since 2008’s Crash: Mind Over Mutant.

Development

Unconfirmed reports emerged in early 2020 that a new mainline Crash Bandicoot game was in development and would be revealed in the coming months. In early June, leaks of new merchandise for the franchise fueled further speculation. Just days afterward, several members of the press were sent a jigsaw puzzle by Activision, which showed the image of a mysterious mask, leading many to believe that a new Crash Bandicoot game would be revealed soon.

https://youtu.be/5qF5JrciMnU

Promptly afterward, a listing for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was published by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, prematurely leaking not only the game, but also its box art, and a short synopsis. Another leak a couple of days later stated that the game would launch in October. Around the same time, developers Toys for Bob started teasing an announcement that would be made imminently.

The game was officially unveiled during the Summer Games Fest 2020 on June 22, where its name, developers, and October 2 release date were confirmed. The game is developed by Toys for Bob using Unreal Engine 4, who previously worked on the collection of remakes of the original trilogy of Spyro games on the PlayStation, called, Spyro Reignited Trilogy. They also did support work on Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, which was primarily developed by Vicarious Visions. The developers noted that the game’s subtitle, It’s About Time, was a play on words, not only because it was the first new Crash Bandicoot game in many years, but also because time manipulation would be central to the story and gameplay.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was confirmed to be coming only to PS4 and Xbox One at launch. When asked about the possibility of ports for PC and Nintendo Switch or the upcoming next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Activision said that they were evaluating additional platforms they could bring the game to. In August 2020, mentions of Nintendo Switch were found in the source code of the game’s official website.

Activision have also confirmed that the game does not include microtransactions at launch.

Story

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time takes place after the events of the third game in the series, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, retconning the events of the four games that followed it in the series’ chronology. Neo Cortex, Uka Uka, and N. Tropy are able to break out of their space-time prison after several attempts, creating a rip in the fabric of time as a result. In doing so, they expose a multiverse. In order to restore order to the multiverse and put a stop to the impending doom brought about by their actions, Crash and Coco must travel through the multiverse and find, unite, and work with four Quantum Masks.

Gameplay

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time features a gameplay style similar to Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, with a focus on isolated, linear levels that place an emphasis on platforming challenges instead of the more open-ended collection and exploration-focused style of later games in the series. Franchise staples also make a return, such as collecting Wumpa fruit, smashing crates, checkpoint boxes, Nitro crates, and more.

Levels have distinct settings and themes, ranging from pre-historic jungles and urban and futuristic cities to frozen caves and landscapes, pirate ships, volcanoes with rivers of lava, and more. There are also sections in which Crash runs toward the screen while trying to escape from incoming enemies and hazards, similar to previous games. There are over 100 levels in the game, which is more than the levels in all of N.Sane Trilogy put together.

The game features several playable characters. The two primary playable characters are Crash and Coco, who both have the same movesets, including jumping, swinging with ropes, sliding, zip lining, wall running, and rail grinding. Players can switch between them at any time during levels, and the entire game can be played as one or the other.

Neo Cortex is also featured as a playable character, and he has unique abilities and movement options, with a greater focus on strategizing rather than skill-based platforming, entailing the usage of gadgets to overcome obstacles and challenges. Neo Cortex can use a ray gun to transform enemies and obstacles in the environment into platforms, which he can then jump on and use to his advantage. Unlike Crash and Coco, he cannot double jump, but has a sideways dash ability.

Dingodile is also featured as a playable character for the first time in a Crash game. Following the events of Warped, Dingodile retired and came into ownership of a diner, but the chaos caused in the multiverse brings him brack into the fold. In some levels, characters such as Neo Cortex or Dingodile are the only ones who are playable. Each character can be visually customized with various skins that are earned through in-game challenges. The game will also feature several boss fights against a mixture of returning and new characters, with N.Gin confirmed to be returning as a boss. Boss fights are designed to be more challenging, and some have multiple phases.

Masks will also play a major role in gameplay and in story. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time sees Crash and Coco travelling the multiverse to gather four unique Quantum Masks. These are gained by fighting and defeating bosses, and each mask has a unique gameplay application. The Time Mask, Kupuna-Wa, can be used to slow down time to a crawl in order to move past fast moving obstacles or enemies, or even avoid the explosions of Nitro crates. Ika-Ika, the Gravity Mask, allows Crash and Coco to flip the direction of gravity for themselves during levels. Lani-Loli, the Phase Mask, is used to phase objects, crates, and obstacles in and out of existence. The fourth mask is called Akano. Crash and Coco can switch between these four masks in order to tackle various challenges and platforming puzzles. Equipping each mask is accompanied with a change in outfits for the player character.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time also features a mode called N.Verted Mode, which is a mirror mode of sorts. This sees all levels being completely transformed in various ways, from the aesthetics and art style completely changing to new objectives and mechanics. For instance, one level is transformed into black and white, and Crash or Coco bleed colour into the surroundings everytime they spin. Players have to use the coloured sections of the level to find the right path forward. Inverted Mode – which is developed by Beenox, who previously developed of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled – is unlocked after beating the game.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

Everything you need to know about Marvel's Avengers.

Marvel’s Avengers is an action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, and published by Square Enix.

Development

Marvel’s Avengers was first teased as “The Avengers Project” when a teaser trailer of the game was uploaded by Marvel, confirming it to be in development at Square Enix owned studio Crystal Dynamics. Information on the game wasn’t shared for over two years afterwards. In June 2019, the game was officially unveiled by Square Enix at their E3 press event.

At their press conference, alongside a reveal trailer for the game confirming Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal as co-developers, a 14 minute gameplay presentation was also shown off, showing gameplay footage from the game’s A-Day prologue section. It was announced that Marvel’s Avengers would release on May 15, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.

A playable demo of the game was also made available on the show floor to attendees behind closed doors, while Square Enix also unveiled the voice cast for various major characters in the game. Tony Stark / Iron Man is played by Nolan North, Bruce Banner / Hulk is played by Troy Baker, Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow is played by Laura Bailey, Steve Rogers / Captain America is played by Jeff Schine, and Thor is played by Travis Willingham.

It was confirmed that the in addition to its single player campaign, the game would also emphasize a co-op component, and that new playable characters and story content would continue being added to the game following its launch, and would be available for free for all owners of the game. The designs of the central characters were criticized upon the game’s reveal, with many feeling that they compared unfavourably to the characters’ portrayals in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Character designs – such as with Thor and Black Widow – received some tweaks and adjustments in the following months.

In October 2019, it was revealed that Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel (played by Sandra Saad) would also be one of the playable characters in the game, and would feature as the central protagonist of the story.

In January 2020, Marvel’s Avengers was delayed from its May release date to a new launch date of September 15, 2020, with Crystal Dynamics citing needing more time to polish the game as the reason for the delay. It was also confirmed later in the year that Marvel’s Avengers would launch for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and that free upgrades to next-gen versions would be available for those who purchased the game on PS4 or Xbox One.

In May, Crystal Dynamics announced a new monthly series of live streams – called “War Table” – through which they would reveal new details on the game in the lead-up to its launch, with the first War Table stream being confirmed for the following month. During the first War Table stream in June, new gameplay footage was shown, while Advanced Idea Mechanics (or AIM) and MODOK were confirmed as antagonists in the game. Information on co-op was also released.

In July 2020, it was announced that betas for the game would kick off in August. Later that month, during their second War Table stream, Crystal Dynamics announced the contents of the beta, while also confirming that Clint Barton / Hawkeye would be the first playable character that would be added to the game as post-launch DLC, along with new story content and missions.

Story

Marvel’s Avengers’ story begins on A-Day, a day meant to celebrate the Avengers. The Avengers are celebrating the opening of a new headquarters in San Francisco, as well as the unveiling of their hellicarrier, which is powered by a Terrigen crystal. During the ceremony, Taskmaster leads an a terrorist attack on the city. During the attack, the Terrigen crystal causes the destruction of the hellicarrier, resulting in a huge portion of the city being destroyed, as well as the death of Captain America. The Avengers are blamed for the incident and are disbanded.

Five years later, the city has been rebuilt, and is under the control of the organization known as Advanced Idea Mechanics (or AIM), led by the scientist known as George Tarleton. Following the A-Day incident, superheroes and people with superhero abilities – known as Inhumans – have been made unlawful. A Young Inhuman named Kamala Khan discovers her powers, but also uncovers evidence suggesting AIM’s involvement in the A-Day incident, leading her to embark on a quest to reunite the Avengers and uncover who the true culprit for the A-Day incident was.

In addition to the playable characters, Marvel’s Avengers includes various well known Marvel characters such as Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Hank Pym, as well as various antagonists and supervillains, including the aforementioned George Tarleton (also known as MODOK), the Abomination, and Taskmaster.

Gameplay

Each character has separate progression, gear, and ultimate attacks as well.

Black Widow is a fast and agile character specializing in melee attacks and combos, while also being able to use her baton, gadgets, and pistols. She can also become invisible during combat, or use her grapple ability to quickly move between targets. Iron Man can fly around combat arenas, use repulsor beams, missiles, and various other ranged and melee attacks.

Thor can use his hammer for melee attacks and to fly around arenas, and can also summon lightning to strike foes. Ms Marvel can use her extended arms to attack enemies from afar.

Marvel’s Avengers features a gear system, with gear being divided based on rarities, and each playable character having unique gear. All gear pieces can also be customized with unique perks. A total Gear Power score represents the characters’ current power level based on what gear they have equipped. Each characters’ skills and abilities can also be upgraded via individual skill trees. Each character can be customized visually with various different skins, with various skins inspired by several comics throughout Marvel history being included in the game. Cosmetic items can be unlocked in-game or purchased with real money through an in-game store.

The game features a single player campaign which can be played through entirely solo. Story missions from the campaign are called Hero Missions, with Crystal Dynamics having confirmed that the main campaign takes about 10-12 hours to complete. In addition, it also features various co-op missions known as War Zones, in which upto players – each controlling a different character – play together. War Zones missions can also be played through solo with AI teammates.

A decommissioned helicarrier serves as the base of operations for the reassembled Avengers. Hero Missions and War Zones are accessed through the War Table in this hub location, while the helicarrier is also upgraded throughout the game. Players can also access HARM Rooms, which are holographic wave-based combat training challenges with escalating difficulties that yield rewards.

Everything you need to know about Madden NFL 21.

Madden NFL 21 is an American football simulation video game developed and published by EA Sports.

Development

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty surrounding when and how the next season of the NFL would begin, there had been some doubts surrounding the nature of a new Madden game in 2020. However, in April 2020, prior to an official announcement being made for the game, Baltimore Ravens quarterback and 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson said that he would be the cover star for Madden NFL 21.

EA confirmed shortly afterward in May that a new Madden NFL game would be released later in the year (alongside a new FIFA instalment). Due to the pandemic, a regular photoshoot of Lamar Jackson for the game’s cover was not possible. As such, photographs of the player were provided by the team’s official photographer.

It was confirmed that the game would launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 28. EA also confirmed that Madden NFL would be coming later to Stadia, making it the first Madden game to launch on Google’s cloud streaming platform. It was also announced that Madden NFL 21 would be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X later in the year.

EA confirmed that the game would allow free upgrades to next-gen versions for those who own it on PS4 or Xbox One. However, EA placed certain restrictions in place, with a limited time window for purchasing the game and then for redeeming the upgrade for those who wanted to avail free next-gen upgrades. Following criticism for the decision, EA extended the window, stating that players could upgrade to next-gen versions at any time before the launch of Madden NFL 22 a year later.

In late May, it was announced that Madden NFL 21 would be formally unveiled with a reveal trailer on June 1. However, shortly before that, EA pushed back the game’s reveal due to the nationwide protests in the United States following the killing of George Floyd. The game was later revealed in full later in June. Due to Washington Redskins announcing that it would be changing its name to drop the team’s controversial moniker, EA announced that the team’s current logo and name would be removed from Madden NFL 21 as well, and would be replaced by a generic team name and logo until new ones were finalized, which would then be added into the game later.

EA confirmed that Madden NFL 21 would not feature cross platform multiplayer gameplay across different devices.

Gameplay

Madden NFL 21 introduces several new gameplay mechanics to the series. Instead of a single skill button, skills are now performed via the right analog tick. Skills can be done in combos and strung together, including slides, jukes, spins, and hurdles. The skill stick is used for defending as well, with all pass rush moves and block-sheds now being on the right analog stick.

Defending sees changes in some other areas as well. Tackling animations have been revamped, and are now triggered based on locations, which means defenders adjust their body positions and tackle differently based on where exactly they are on the field. Breakdown tackling has also been added, while dive tackling has been improved as well. Meanwhile, AI has also been improved, with opposition quarterbacks making smarter plays and reacting to players’ actions more appropriately.

The solo career mode known as Face of the Franchise returns in Madden NFL 21, this time called Face of the Franchise – Rise to Fame, and is revamped from the previous game. Players begin as a high school quarterback playing in a State Championship. Following that, players spend two seasons playing college football. During college football seasons, players can change their positions from quarterback to wide receiver or running back. After the college seasons, players are drafted in the NFL Combine, where storylines play out across a number of seasons, with players attempting to make it into the Hall of Fame. The Face of the Franchise also features Snoop Dogg and Rich Eisen as characters, both played by themselves.

The Franchise Mode sees changes as well. An expanded Wild Card Playoff round is included, featuring three games for each conference instead of two. X-Factors are also included, with the game also featuring 50 new X-Factors on top of the ones from the previous entry. The game also features a new mode called The Yard, which focuses on NFL Street-style football. New user controller celebrations are also included in the game.

Madden NFL 21’s roster of players sees five players in total being rated with the 99 OVR rating. These five players are Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, New England Patrios cornerback Stephon Gilmore, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey. The cover star, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, has a 94 OVR rating.

Everything you need to know about Paper Mario: The Origami King.

Paper Mario: The Origami King is a role playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It is the sixth instalment in the Paper Mario series.

Development

Throughout the early months of 2020, there were several rumours and leaks that Nintendo would be unveiling a new game in the Paper Mario series exclusively for the Switch. Rumours persisted right up until the game’s eventual announcement, with some reports stating that Nintendo had originally planned to reveal the game at E3 2020 as part of their celebration for Mario’s 35th anniversary (allegedly alongside remasters of several mainline 3D Super Mario games), but that those plans got scrapped when E3 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nintendo officially unveiled Paper Mario: The Origami King in May 2020 with an announcement trailer. As opposed to most of Nintendo’s announcements, Paper Mario: The Origami King wasn’t revealed in a Direct presentation, nor did Nintendo build up to its reveal. Reports emerged soon afterward that Nintendo had adapted to the work-from-home requirements imposed by worldwide lockdowns during the pandemic, and that Direct presentations had suffered as a result, and might continue to do so for some months. As such, Nintendo reportedly announced the game with an isolated trailer.

During development, Intelligent Systems’ goal with Paper Mario: The Origami King was to ensure that they were creating a new experience built on fresh ideas, rather than one that largely just built upon what they had done with Paper Mario: Color Splash (or other previous games in the series). The game’s producer, Kensuke Tanabe, worked with Naohiko Aoyama, the director of Paper Mario: Color Splash, to come up with the new ring-based battle system.

Intelligent Systems also decided during development not to have any permanent party members in the game, as opposed to the first three entries in the series. The developers felt that having a unique party member in each area would lead to more memorable moments. Each party member – with the exception of Bowser Jr, who was chosen early on due to his role in the story – was decided based on the design requirements of the locations, and they would be chosen on the basis of how good a fit Intelligent Systems thought they would be in that part of the game. The first parter character that the team created for the game was the Bob-omb named Bobby.

Story

Paper Mario: The Origami King begins with Mario and Luigi heading to Princess Peach’s castle after receiving an invitation for an origami festival. When they arrive at the castle, however, they realize that the evil King Olly has seized Princess Peach’s castle and the princess herself by turning things into paper and origamim, setting a plan into motion to do the same to the entire world and “re-fold” it. He also uses his powers to take control of Bowser’s army.

With the help of various companions – including the likes of Bowser, Bowser Jr, and King Olly’s sister, Olivia, Mario sets out on a journey across Mushroom Kingdom to defeat King Olly and put a stop to his plans.

Gameplay

Unlike the previous three entries in the series – Super Paper Mario, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Paper Mario: Color Splash – which were segmented into chapters or particular sections, Paper Mario: The Origami King features a freely explorable open world setting, similar to the first two games in the series.

There are several different areas in the world with unique theming and aesthetics, and many locations come with unique mechanics or companion characters. Locations include Princess Peach’s Castle, Toad Town, a mountaintop theme park called Shogun Studios, a misty jungle called Shangri-Spa, The Great Sea (which can be explored using a boat), a forest in the mountains called Whispering Woods, a desert covered in darkness called the Scorching Sandpaper Desert, and more.

While exploring the world, Mario can undertake platforming challenges, encounter puzzles, speak with NPCs, collect items and coins, and more. New abilities allow Mario to interact with various aspects of the world and solve the game’s paper-themed puzzles. One of these abilities is 1000-Fold Arms, using which Mario can reach out and tear out parts of the paper environment in order to reveal various secrets. Mario can also equip Accessories for various advantages both in and out of combat.

Enemies are found in the open world, and initiating encounters takes players to a separate battle screen. If Mario strikes enemies in the open world first, he enters battles with an extra attack. In the open world, Mario can also use his hammer to strike trees, enemies, and grass. Doing so yields confetti, which can be used to fill holes torn into the paper-esque environments, which in turn reveals Toads or coins.

Mario can also come across various Toads while exploring the game’s world. Toads can be found folded up into various shapes, and Mario can choose to seek them out in the environments to rescue them. Toads that have been rescued go back to Toad Town, where some open up shops. Rescued Toads can help out during puzzles, and can also be called upon during combat by spending coins to aid Mario, such as by healing him, giving him items, or attacking his enemies.

Paper Mario: The Origami King also sees the return of RPG battles after the more straightforward combat style of its predecessor. The game features a ring-based combat system. In the battle arena, Mario is placed at the axis of several concentric rings, with enemies on the rings around Mario. Mario can rotate and slide the rings, and by lining up several enemies together, he can deal consecutive attacks, though every battle has limited ring moves and allotted time.

Lining up enemies for attacks also increases Mario’s attack power. Coins collected in the world can be spent in battle to call for the aid of Toads or extend time limits. In combat, Mario attacks enemies using his hammer or his boots. He can also use more powerful variants of both, but these break after a certain amount of use. Timing button presses properly can also make attacks more powerful.

Boss battles functioning a little differently. In these combat encounters, it is the bosses who are placed at the axis of the battle arena, while players will be manipulating the rings to build a path through them to the boss for Mario. One Mario is close to the boss, players must attack weak points.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

Everything you need to know about Destroy All Humans!

Destroy All Humans! is an open world action-adventure game developed by Black Forest Games and published by THQ Nordic. It is a remake of the 2005 game of the same name, and the fifth mainline entry in the Destroy All Humans! franchise.

Development

Before Destroy All Humans! (2020), the last game in the franchise was Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon, which came out in 2009. Following that, in 2012, THQ – the owners of the property – went bankrupt. Many of their properties were sold off afterward, with Destroy All Humans! being purchased by Nordic Games (now known as THQ Nordic).

https://youtu.be/1rNYZYVR8P0

Following a few statements over the new few years that they were considering how to utilize the property, THQ Nordic announced at E3 in July 2019 that they would be releasing a remake of the first Destroy All Humans! game in 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, to be developed by Black Forest Games. They confirmed that the remake would also include content that was cut from the original game.

In August, THQ Nordic revealed two collector’s editions for the game – the DNA Collector’s Edition for $149.99 and the Crypto-137 Edition for $399.99 – while also confirming that the base game would cost $39.99. In April 2020, THQ Nordic confirmed that the Destroy All Humans! remake would release on July 28 of the year.

Destroy All Humans! is made by a team of roughly 60 people. During the remake’s development, Black Forest Game ensured to stay faithful to the original game. As such, they retained the original release’s dialogue and humour as is, while audio was also brought over from the original game into the remake, with its quality being enhanced instead of dialogue being re-recorded.

Black Forest Games remade the character models for the remake, while cutscenes were also redone with motion capture. Additionally, the remake also includes a mission that was cut out of the original game during its development, called “Lost Mission of Area 42”.

Story

Destroy All Humans! sees players taking on the role of protagonist Cryptosporidium 137 (or Cypto 137), a soldier of the alien Furon Empire that leads the charge on Earth’s invasion. Tasked with extracting Furon DNA from humans’ brains, Crypto wreaks havoc in the United States, while squaring off against citizens, law enforcement, military, and the Majestic agency.

Gameplay

Throughout Crypto 137’s mission on Earth, Destroy All Humans! is played in an open world setting. Crypto’s primary missions are to lead the Furon invasion of Earth, extract as much DNA from humans’ brains as possible, and rescue Crypto 136, who was captured by humans before Crypto 137’s arrival.

The open world is divided up into six districts- the industrial city Union Town; a Southern farm community called Turnipseed Farm; a Nebrasks town called Rockwell; the Washington D.C. parody, Capitol City; the Santa Monica parody, Santa Modesta; and Area 42, a parody of Area 51. Each sandbox location houses various challenges, activities, and missions, and each can be freely explored. The Furon mothership serves as the hub location, where players can travel to and from any of the six locations on Earth. On the ship, in addition to receiving weapons, players can also upgrade their weapons.

All buildings and structures in the open world are destructible, and can be destroyed with Crypto’s weapons and spaceship. As Crypto wreaks more havoc in an area, alert forces become more aware of him, starting with the police, then the military, then finally the Majestic agency. Crypto has a jetpack, which he can use to navigate the environment.

Crypto also has various weapons that he makes use of against humans and animals and to destroy structures and vehicles. These include the Zap-O-Matic (which shocks victims with an electrical charge); the Anal Probe (which enters victims through the rear and uproots their brain); the Disintegrator Ray (which completely disintegrates victims’ flesh and skin, leaving behind just a skeleton), and more.

In combat, Crypto is also equipped with a shield, which tells him about the directions of incoming attacks. Further, the Destroy All Humans! also adds the Focus Mode (which wasn’t in the original game), which allows players to lock on to enemies.

Crypto also has a flying saucer that he can use. On top of being able to fly around environments in the saucer, players can also use various of its weapons. These include firing a ray that can be used to burn people, vehicles, and buildings; using a beam to beam up people and objects and throws them into the air; dropping sonic bombs; and more.

Additionally, Crypto can also use various psychokinetic powers, such as being able to move objects around using his psychokinesis. Crypto can also imitate the appearance of a nearby human and thus be able to go past other humans unnoticed (though more powerful enemies can spot the disguise if they get close to Crypto). Imitating the appearance of another human requires a resource that is gathered by reading the thoughts of humans and animals.

Everything you need to know about F1 2020.

F1 2020 is a Formula One racing simulation game developed and published by Codemasters, and the officially licensed game of the sporting event.

Development

F1 2020 was announced by Codemasters in April 2020, along with new information released on the improvements made to the career mode and the new My Team mode. It was confirmed that the game would release for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on July 15. A “Deluxe Schumacher Edition” was also announced, which would include four DLC classic cars driven by Michael Schumacher.

As the officially licensed Formula One racing game, F1 2020 includes the full championship as it was originally planned. It also includes two new additions with Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands and the Hanoi Street Circuit in Vietnam, in spite of the cancellation and postponement (respectively) of the two events in the championship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Codemasters also confirmed plans to release historical cars as DLC for F1 2020 similar to previous games in the series. This would include four cars driven by Michael Schumacher, including the Jordan 191, the Benetton B194, the Benetton B195, and the Ferrari F1-2000. Codemasters confirmed more DLC is also planned for the celebration of F1’s 70th anniversary. However, the Styrian and 70th Anniversary Grands Prix are not included in the game, though they are in the 2020 calendar, since they are on circuits that host other events.

Gameplay

F1 2020 includes all licensed teams and drivers from the Formula One 2020 season, which includes a total of 10 teams and all of their drivers. These include Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi for Alpha Romeo; Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat for Alpha Tauri; Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc for Ferrari; Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen for Haas; Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr. for McLaren; Lewis Hamiton and Valtteri Bottas for Mercedes; Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll for Racing Point; Alexander Albon and Max Verstappen for Red Bull; Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon for Renault; and Nicholas Lafiti and George Russell for Williams.

Several classic cars have also been confirmed for the game. These include: 1988 McLaren MP4/4, 1990 McLaren MP4/5B, 1990 Ferrari 641, 1991 McLaren MP4/6, 1992 Williams FW14, 1996 Williams FW18, 1998 McLaren MP4-13, 2003 Williams FW25, 2004 Ferrari F2004, 2006 Renault R26, 2007 Ferrari F 2007, 2008 McLaren MP4-23, 2009 Brawn BGP 001, 2010 Red Bull RB6, 2010 Ferrari F10, and 2010 McLaren MP4-25.

The career mode in F1 2020 introduces some new changes and improvements. There is no story in the career mode, while now, players can also choose to include the full Fomula 2 season each year (though there is still the option to have only three Formula 2 races). Additionally, players can now also customize the length of every season, with three options being available- a full length season of 22 races, a slightly shorter seasons of 16 races, or a much more truncated season of 10 races. Players will also be able to choose their preferred tracks for the shorter seasons.

F1 2020 features a new addition with the My Team mode, which will provide a different player-manager experience than the career mode. My Team has been featured in previous Codemasters games such as DiRT 4 and the DiRT Rally games, and now makes its debut in F1. In My Team, players will be able to create their own team, create their own drivers, choose sponsors and engine engine suppliers, build facilities, and manage the team through several seasons. This will include various responsibilities, such as managing the team’s finances, improving the facilities, ensuring the progress of the team’s second driver, securing proper sponsors, and a lot more.

Career mode and My Team will also see drivers retiring and being promoted from Formula 2, which means players will be racing against different drivers and competitors as the seasons progress and older drivers retire. Additionally, improvements and tweaks have also been made to several gameplay mechanics. For instance, the braking system has received an overhaul, which will lead to shorter and more realistic stopping distances. Other areas to see improvements are traction control and throttle.

Changes are also being made to ERS. To bring the system more realistic in its simulation, ERS will now be managed by the AI, instead of being in complete control of the player. ERS will be programmed by the team, and reacting to what the player is doing, it will let the driver know where it can be used for additional power. Similar to previous F1 games, F1 2020 will also feature several customization options for difficulty, including various assists that can be turned on and off.

Various other modes also return once again in F1 2020, including Time Trial, Grand Prix, and Championships, while the online component includes ranked and unranked races, as well as weekly events and customizable liveries, while leagues are also featured. F1 2020 also brings back split-screen multiplayer, which has been absent in the series for some years.

Note: This wiki will be updated once we have more information about the game.

Everything you need to know about Marvel's Iron Man VR.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR is a virtual reality action shooter title developed by Camouflaj and published by Sony, exclusively for PlayStation VR.

Development

Marvel’s Iron Man VR was first unveiled by Sony in March 2019 during their first State of Play stream. The developers confirmed upon announcement that the game would feature an original story that would be unrelated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When Marvel Games were initially looking for suitable studios to develop a AAA game based on the Iron Man property, they told Camouflaj, who were interested in the project, that it would probably go to a bigger studio, and that studios would have to make exceptional pitches to land the project. Camouflaj worked on a VR-exclusive prototype for the game to get the controls of flight and combat right, and that prototype led to Camouflaj being chosen to make an Iron Man game.

The developers’ focus during development was to deliver an authentic and original Iron Man story that would also focus on Tony Stark’s personal side of things, which meant including popular characters from the Marvel universe and making them an important part of the story. For the gameplay, the developers chose to fully utilize the PlayStation Move’s motion controls and the PSVR headset to completely immerse players in the experience. The developers considered VR the best possible way to deliver an Iron Man game. They also wanted to ensure that the experience was as seamless as possible within the limitations of VR technology.

In October 2019, Sony announced that Marvel’s Iron Man VR would release on February 28, 2020. In January, however, Sony pushed the release back by three months to May 15. In April 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sony delayed the releases of two of their upcoming games – The Last of Us Part 2 and Marvel’s Iron Man VR – indefinitely. A final release date was announced a month afterward as July 3, 2020.

On May 21, a free demo of the game was released on the PlayStation Store, while a PlayStation VR bundle for the game was also announced. Marvel’s Iron Man VR went gold on May 28.

In Marvel’s Iron Man VR, developers Camouflaj have introduced a new Iron Man suit created for the game from scratch, called thee Impulse Armour. The suit was designed by Adi Granov, who has been heavily involved in Iron Man comics for years, as well as some of the films. Granov also designed the game’s box art.

The game’s voice cast includes Josh Keaton as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Chantelle Barry as Ghost / Ava Starr, Leila Birch as FRIDAY, Ike Amadi as Nick Fury, and Jennifer Hale. Others, including Matt Mercer, Dwight Schultz, and Leonardo Nam are also part of the main cast.

Story

Having retired from the market of manufacturing weapons, Tony Stark now creates technology that he can use with his Iron Man suit to fight evil. As the game begins, a mysterious hacker and anti-corporate activist named Ghost with unknown motivations attacks Stark Industries and repurposes their old weapons. Tony must now don the suit of Iron Man and attempt to put a stop to Ghost’s plans.

Gameplay

Marvel’s Iron Man VR is a virtual reality-exclusive game that is played from a first person perspective. During combat and flight, players see Iron Man’s HUD on their screens. Meanwhile, all actions through the game are done through physical controls, with the developers having wanted to capture the feel of using and flying around in the Iron Man Suit with authentic controls. For instance, players use Iron Man’s repulsors with the PlayStation Move sticks and aim manually.

Combat allows players to use various abilities and manoeuvres, including use boost to speed up; Rocket Punch, which starts with a hit combo and ends with a finishing Repulsor Blast; ground pound, in which players descend toward enemies at high speeds for a strong attack; and Unibeam, which can be charged up and shot out of Iron Man’s chest, but has to be properly timed. Players can also use Iron Man’s auxiliary weapons, which are fired out of his gauntlets as projectiles, but have to be unlocked with Research Points.

Various locations are included in a game, including a S.H.I.E.L.D. Hellicarrier, the city of Shanghai, and a decommissioned Stark Industries plant. During development. Camouflaj were targeting a length of 4-5 hours for the game, but after playtesting, they realized that the game’s length was twice that estimate at 8-10 hours.

Another location included in the game is Tony Stark’s garage in his Malibu mansion. Players can freely explore the garage to undertake several leisurely activities. Additionally, players can also spend time in the garage to tinker with Tony’s Iron Man suit, with several customization and upgrade options available. This is done through a 3D UI, which the developers created to approximate the feel of physically using Tony’s technology to upgrade the suit.

Ghost of Tsushima is an open world action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony.

Development

Development on Ghost of Tsushima began in 2014, soon after work on inFamous: First Light had wrapped up. Sucker Punch set out to make a game that would allow players to liv out the fantasy of being a samurai, while at the same time, they wanted to keep the open world structure they had employed in the inFamous games.

Ghost of Tsushima was officially unveiled in October 2017 with a trailer at Paris Games Week. This was followed a year later by a lengthy gameplay trailer in June 2018 at Sony’s E3 press event, with another trailer coming over a year later in December 2019’s The Game Awards. A new story trailer in March 2020 confirmed that the game would release on June 26, 2020, but the release date was later pushed back by three weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A new 20-minute long gameplay deep dive was shown in May in a State of Play presentation.

For Ghost of Tsushima, in order to capture the authenticity and atmosphere of the setting and Japanese culture, Sucker Punch consulted several cultural experts and sent an audio team to the island of Tsushima to record ambient environmental sounds, such as birdsongs. They also arrived at the conclusion that wind would be a big part of how they would portray the world in the game. Additionally, they were also greatly aided for the entire process by SIE Japan Studio.

Sucker Punch have named several games that Ghost of Tsushima takes inspiration from. One of these is the first Red Dead Redemption– similar to how that game successfully recreated a historical setting and captured its atmosphere while allowing players to live out a story of an outlaw in the Wild West, Sucker Punch wanted to do the same with samurais in Ghost of Tsushima. Other games that influenced the title include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Red Dead Redemption 2. Meanwhile, classic Japanese samurai movies served as inspiration. Sucker Punch have stated prior to the game’s launch that Ghost of Tsushima is by far the biggest and most ambitious game they have ever made, outsizing inFamous: Second Son by a large margin.

One of Sucker Punch’s goals with Ghost of Tsushima was to have the game be as immersed in its setting as possible. As such, they worked to ensure that the game had as little UI as possible, which led to things such as waypoints and in-game markers being removed and replaced with elements in the game’s world itself. Sucker Punch also stated that though there game’s setting and premise is historically inspired, it would not stick to historical accuracy at the cost of design or storytelling.

Story

Ghost of Tsushima is set on the island of Tsushima in the year 1274 during the first Mongol Invasion of Japan. Players play as samurai Jin, who is one of the last survivors of his clan and among the few samurai still left alive when the Mongol army invades, attacks, and decimates the defences of Tsushima. Determined to fight back against the enemy and reclaim the island, Jin realizes that his teachings in the ways of the samurai will not help him against an overwhelmingly powerful enemy, and he begins learning and adopting more guerrilla stealthier tactics.

He slowly becomes the Ghost, striking fear into the hearts of the Mongols, in an attempt to prevent an attack against mainland Japan, for which Tsushima was the last standing line of defence. All the while, he must fight the inner conflict of giving up the teachings of the samurai way and the new tactics he has adopted as the Ghost.

Gameplay

Ghost of Tsushima is a fully open world game that places an emphasis on exploration, traversal, and player choice between stealth and combat. Exploration is done without any waypoints or in-game map or compass markers. Players select the location they want to head to on the game’s map, and are then directed to that location through visible gusts of wind in the world called the Guiding Wind. The Guiding Wind can be summoned at any time to tell players which direction to head in.

Players also have to rely on various other visual cues in the game’s world for the purposes of smoke, such as plumes of smoke in the distance, which might lead to a village or settlement under attack from Mongols, which players would have to defend and rescue civilians. Other in-game visual cues include things such as foxes leading players to shrines, or birds leading players to points of interest in the world. Animals in the world of Ghost of Tsushima cannot be hunted.

Traversal throughout the world can be done by riding on a horse, which can be summoned with the press of a button at any time. Sucker Punch also confirmed prior to the game’s launch that the horse cannot die, and enemies don’t attack it during combat. On-foot traversal allows Jin to engage in parkour mechanics, such as climbing up ledges and walls, jumping across gaps, walking across beams, and more. Jin also has a grappling hook that can be used to swing across larger gaps.

Ghost of Tsushima also allows players to choose their approach to any combat situation, whether they want to be stealthy or take on enemies in head-on combat. Combat in the game is described as quick and decisive, and in addition to dodges, parries, and attacks, Jin can also make use of other tools, such as smoke bombs, firecrackers, and kunai knives. When facing an enemy, players will also have the ability to engage them in one-versus-one face-off duels, where each will wait for an opening to strike the enemy with a single decisive blow.

During stealth, Jin can use his various tools to distract and kill enemies. Jin’s reputation as a Ghost on the island of Tsushima also affects the Mongols, and the more his reputation he grows, the more he will strike fear into the hearts of enemies. Some enemies might flee from him during combat.

Ghost of Tsushima also has various customization and progression elements. Jin can don various different kinds of armour, and each of them will have unique mechanical advantages, with some suited for stealth and others suited for combat. Jin can also spend skill points to unlock and improve various abilities to use in combat and stealth, while players can also find charms scattered throughout the world to give Jin various advantages. There is also some cosmetic customization, such as flowers Jin can find throughout the world that can be used to change the colour and other visual aspects of his armour.

Ghost of Tsushima also has a filter that allows players to play it with a black-and-white and film grain filter to mimic the look of classic samurai movies. Additionally, Sucker Punch have also confirmed that the game has a Photo Mode. In addition to various filters, effects, and more, Photo Mode also allows players to record short clips, where weather and wind effects, music, and more can also be customized.

Everything you need to know about Valorant.

Valorant is a competitive multiplayer first person shooter developed and published by Riot Games.

Development

Development on Valorant began in 2014, and many key members of the Riot Games staff were involved. Joe Ziegler and David Nottingham serve as game director and creative director respectively; Trevor Romleski – game designer on League of Legends – and Salvatore Garozzo – map designer on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – serve as game designers; Moby Francke – art designer on Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 – serves as art designer.

https://youtu.be/HdvFA4YphNc

Valorant was first announced by Riot Games during their tenth anniversary celebration in October 2019 as Project A. The game was revealed to be a tactical first person shooter, where each playable character would have unique abilities that can be used in combat. Comparisons were made by critics and audiences to games such as Counter-Strike and Overwatch. On the latter, the developers said that though they were flattered by the comparisons, unlike Overwatch, which is a hero shooter, Project A would be a tactical shooter based on skill, where characters’ abilities would be “more about utility.”

In March 2020, Riot Games formally unveiled Project A as Valorant, and announced that it would launch as a free-to-play title for PC in Summer 2020. They confirmed that the game would not have loot boxes, and would only have cosmetic in-game purchases, while also confirming that they would be using a battle pass system. Riot also announced a closed beta for the game, which launched on April 7. The beta was met with great response from players and widespread audiences, amassing 1.7 million Twitch viewers on its first day. Throughout all of April, Valorant was viewed on Twitch for a total of over 334 million hours.

Riot Games said prior to the game’s release that they would be focusing on eliminating issues that online competitive games usually suffer by imroving its netcode, their servers, and their infrastructure. They also took a firm stance against in-game cheaters, banning many players during its beta phase and stating that they would continue to do so going forward. Riot Games also said that they intend for Valorant to have a large presence in the esports space. For greater accessibility in esports, they also confirmed that the game will toggle off blood and blood effects in esports events.

Though Valorant was only announced as a PC game, Riot Games have stated that they’re open to bringing the game to other consoles, as well as mobile devices. During the game’s beta phase, dataminers discovered evidence in its code for controls of a mobile version of the game.

On May 21st, Riot Games announced that Valorant would release in full on June 2.

Story

Though Valorant is not a story-driven experience owing to its online-only and competitive nature, it features a unique backstory and setting. The game is set in a near-future version of the Earth, where an event called the First Light served as the catalyst for major global upheaval in all walks of light. The First Light caused certain individuals across the world to gain unique powers and abilities, called Radiants. Following this, a shadow organization called the Valorant Protocol started recruiting Agents from across the world, comprising mostly of Radiants and those equipped with Radiant technology.

Gameplay

Valorant is a team based tactical first person shooter. In the main game mode, two teams of five players – or Agents – each go up against each other, one an attacking team and the other the defending team. Every match consists of many rounds, with each round running on a 100 second round timer. The attacking team is equipped with a bomb called the Spike, that they have to successfully plant in a designated spot, and then have to guard against the opposing team until it detonates, to win the round.

If the defending team can defuse the bomb or if the round timer expires before the bomb goes off, they win the round. Meanwhile, if any team eliminates all members of a team, the other team wins, since there are no respawns. The first team to win 13 rounds wins the match. At launch, Valorant has four maps, while Riot Games plan on adding more once the game releases.

Before every match during the lobby phase, each player selects which Agent they want to play as, and there can be only one of each Agent per team. Following this, both teams enter the Buy phase, during which they can purchase weapons, shields, and abilities to equip their character with. Weapons consist of sidearms, SMGs, rifles, shotfuns, heavy weapons, sniper rifles, and melee wapons, while shields can be either Light or Heavy.

Each character as four usable abilities- one Signature ability, two regular abilities, and one Ultimate ability. Every character gets their Signature ability for free every round. Both regular abilities have to be purchased, but players can keep them across rounds (until they are both used up). Ultimate abilities are charged by by getting kills.

At launch, Valorant has 12 playable Agents, of which ten were revealed during the beta period. These were:

Breach: Specializes in high-damage telekinetic attacks. Ultimate ability (Rolling Thunder) sends out a seismic wave to daze enemy enemies caught in its radius.

Brimstone: Specializes in both offence, and support for teammate through buffs. Ultimate ability (Orbital Strike) launches a orbital strike against the enemy team for high damage.

Cypher: Specializes in surveillance and intel. Ultimate ability (Neural Theft) instantly extracts the location of all living enemy team members through the corpse of a dead enemy.

Jett: An evasive and agile fighter specializing in mobility. Ultimate ability (Blade Storm) allows her to throw daggers at enemies to deal moderate damage, with kills restoring all daggers.

Omen: Specializes in teleportation and disrupting and impeding enemies with his powers. Ultimate ability (From the Shadows) allows him to teleport anywhere on the map and form as a Shade.

Phoenix: Specializes in fire-based attacks. Ultimate ability (Run it Back) allows him to resurrect at a marked location with full length upon being killed.

Raze: Specializes in explosives. Ultimate ability (Showstopper) equips her with a rocket launcher with one shot that does massive area damage.

Everything you need to know about Xenoblade Chronicles.

Xenoblade Chronicles is an open world action RPG developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo.

Development

Development on Xenoblade Chronicles began at Monolith Soft a year before the studio was acquired by Nintendo. Monolith had originally been in the midst of developing games in the Xenosaga series, which director Tetsuya Takahashi envisioned as a six-part series. However, due to the disappointing commercial performance of the first two Xenosaga games, it would decided that the series would end with the third instalment.

This led to morale in the development team at Monolith being at an all-time low, which resulted in Takahashi conceptualizing, pitching, and green-lighting the development of Xenoblade Chronicles, with the support of Nintendo. The focus of the development team was on telling a grand and sweeping story, and on having that reflect in the gameplay as well, due to which they decided on the game’s large and open-ended open world design.

Takahashi initially considered a turn-based battle system for the game, but decided to a real-time action system would work better. Transitions between the environments and battle arenas were also considered, but Takahashi felt they disrupted the flow of the gameplay and decided that battles would take place in real-time environments instead. The number of cutscenes in the game was cut down from previous works by Monolith Soft so as to have a better balance between storytelling and gameplay, though the former still very much remained a focus.

The game was originally going to have no connected to Takahashi’s larger Xeno meta-franchise, with Monolith originally intending to call it Monado: The Beginning of the World. However, then-president of Nintendo Satoru Iwata had the name changed to Xenoblade (Xenoblade Chronicles in western localizations) in order to both, honour Takahashi’s past work and recognize the effort being invested in the game by him and his studio.

Takahashi, who wrote the scenario and also served as the director and producer on the game, co-wrote the script with Yuichiro Takeda and Yurie Hattori. Genki Yokota served as co-director, while the game’s music was composed by Manami Kiyota, ACE+, and Yoko Shimomura. Yasunori Mitsuda composed the game’s ending theme, “Beyond the Sky,” while Australian singer Sarah Àlainn performed the track in English.

Xenoblade Chronicles was officially unveiled by Nintendo at E3 2009, before releasing in Japan the following June. In August 2011, it was released in Europe, however, reports started emerging that Nintendo of America did not plan on releasing the game in North American territories (during development, Monolith Soft had worked under the assumption that the game would see a global release).

This led to a large-scale fan campaign called Operation Rainfall, with the objective of getting Nintendo of America to green-light the releases of Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower. This entailed online petitions, organized campaigns, and emails, phone calls, and communications via social media to Nintendo. Operation Rainfall led to Xenoblade Chronicles becoming the #1 most pre-ordered game on Amazon.

Eventually, Nintendo of America finalized and announced the localization of all three games under Operation of Rainfall. Nintendo of America president Reggi Fils-Aime said that though Nintendo had taken the fan campaign into consideration, it had not been the deciding factor for them when determining whether to release the games in North America.

In 2013, development of a port of Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo 3DS began, with the help of developer Monster Games (since Monolith Soft were busy working on a sequel). Though originally planned for the 3DS, the handheld’s technical capabilities were far inferior to those of the Wii, and porting proved to be a very difficult process. As a result, it was decided that the game would be exclusive to the more powerful New Nintendo 3DS. Due to the system’s additional shoulder buttons and C-Stick, the game could retain the control scheme from the Wii version as is.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D was announced in 2014, and released for the New Nintendo 3DS in April 2015. The game featured Street Pass functionality as well as support for amiibo, while 3D support was also featured, in spite of difficulties in ensuring the same during development. Environments were also rebuilt for the system, while development also entailed the creation of a new graphics engine and new level of detail system.

An enhanced remaster of Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Switch, titled Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, was also announced in September 2019. It was confirmed to feature a 10-12 hour long epilogue (that players could play at any time), enhanced visuals, quality of life improvements, remastered music, improved user interface, new difficulty modes, a time attack mode, returning voice cast, and more.

It was confirmed that the Future Connected epilogue would be set one year after the game, feature a completely new location that was not included in the original release, and would feature a new battle system. Nintendo also confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition would not include some features from the game’s 3DS port, including the model viewer and amiibo support. In March 2020, Nintendo announced that the game would release worldwide on May 29, 2020.

Xenoblade Chronicles is set in the backdrop of two titans, Bionis and Mechonis, being locked in an endless war. The two came into existence eons ago and became embroiled in endless conflicts, until only their frozen corpses remained. Eons later, the bodies of these titans became inhabited by various lifeforms. The Bionis was inhabited by all organic life, the most dominant of which were the humanoid Homs. The Mechonis was home to to mechanical machines, called Machina.

The inhabitants of Bionis and Mechonis – specifically the Homs and Machina – became embroiled in furious wars with each other. One of the key weapons used by the Homs in this war was the Monado, a mystical sword that would grant its wielder visions of the future. In the beginning of the game, Colony 9 on Bionis comes under attack and is ravaged by Machina called Mechon. Colony 9 resident Shulk comes into possession of the Monado, and he sets off on a journey with his friends to seek vengeance against the Mechon.

Xenoblade Chronicles’ battles occur in real time. Player control the movement of one of three party members, while all other party members attack automatically. Attacks called “Arts” are manually input by players. Battle Arts are available after cooldowns, while Talent Arts only become available after a certain number of auto-attacks is performed. Arts can also be used to replenish health, while health is regenerated automatically outside of combat.

Levelling up allows players to unlock new Arts, and players have choose which Arts each character can use by equipping them in the Battle Palette. Performing attacks during combat also increases every character’s “aggro ring” (which each character has), and the larger the ring grows, the more enemies focus on that character. Characters also have a Tension meter, and at higher Tension points, characters can deal more critical hits.

As each character lands successful hits, the “Party Gauge” also fills up, which, in turn, allows players to chain combo attacks on enemies. Thanks to the Monado, Shulk can also use the Visions system, which allows him to see glimpses of the future and change strategies on what he sees enemies might be about to do. Players can also customize their party characters in various ways, including weapons and armour.

Xenoblade Chronicles takes place in a large, seamless open world environment. There is a dynamic day/night system in place that affects various things, such as enemies, quests, and more. Exploration is heavily focused, and players are encouraged to explore environments to find new items and gear and undertake quests and side quests.

A Party Affinity system also shows the growing relationships between party members, and as these relationships grow, more story moments and character interactions are revealed. Players can also use gems dropped by fallen enemies in the gem crafting mini game. These gems can then be equipped by characters for boosted stats during combat.
