Disgaega 4: A Promise Unforgotten (yes, that was the actual name, look it up) released on PlayStation 3 back in 2011; now, it is getting an enhanced remake on the PlayStation Vita. Titled Disgaea 4: Return, you can check out the new trailer for the upcoming remake above.
It looks… fairly Japanese, all right, complete with anime style characters, voice acting, music, and actions. It looks like the best part of the games, though, which is the amazing, tactical battle system, remains intact, however.
Disgaea 4: Return has so far been only announced for a Japanese release, where it releases in January 2014 as a celebration of 20 years of NIS, the series’ publishers. No release date for any other market or territory has been announced yet, and given the Vita’s dismal performance in the worldwide market, it might not be too unreasonable to assume that the game will not be releasing worldwide (especially since even Square Enix won’t announce a release date for a game as big as Final Fantasy X HD on the Vita).
However, we will keep you posted.
