I dare to say this game looks better on 720p on consoles then most games released in 2016 on PC in 1080p

Cloud Imperium gave their reasons. The consoles aren’t good enough to support the game. People need a high end PC to play Star Citizen. Don’t worry though, I’m sure in 10 years you’ll get to experience the quality that PC gamers are getting this year.

They are using cryengine 3… a way more upgraded version.

If you’re coming from the last console then yes. It has amazing graphics in comparison to the consoles that released a decade ago…

PC Gamers funded the development for the PC, so rightfully it should stay on PC so that the game isn’t compromised in gameplay or graphics and other such mechanics vital to make a top-notch PC game.

Oh aye, I’m a backer on Star Citizen, have been since before it made it’s initial goals, way back when, and a huge fan of Chris Roberts – I’ve still got Wing Commander 3 and 4. I was just pointing out in response to tech’s comment about ‘all the unbiased third parties’ – there are unbiased (well, in this general sense – no-one is ever totally unbiased, but I don’t want to get all postmodern ;)) third parties that have said Ryse is the best-looking next-gen game, but because Star Citizen is running on Cry Engine, Chris Roberts isn’t technically one of them.
