A PC with only 256MB system RAM, using a very low end GPU with 256MB GDDR3 RAM while using an old OS cannot even run BF4 ( so it's not even allowing you to run that game on 720p to begin with )

"Crysis 3 rec-specs only asked for 4GB system RAM and a 1GB GPU" = correct and the 1GB of GPU = Vram ( look at the picture of the crysis 3 specs and you'll see what I posted to be correct☺

Crysis 3 doesn't use over 8GB RAM, it uses less than people think, even at high res-

I've never had Crysis 3 use over 3GB when going onto Task Manager.

It will limit their achievable scope severly. From the size of maps or how advanced and fine tuned things like destruction in a battlefield game or world consistancy in a game like skyrim can be. Also, high screen resolutions require a lot of memory, developers will probably still sacrifice 1080p for more gameplay. Ideally you would have both of those, and perhaps even resolutions beyond 1080p in the years to come.

Maybe if it had the same downgrades as the console versions, then yes, it probably would. You do not understand, the game was optimized to RUN on those system specs. HURRRRRRRRR

Copy/paste the same response one more time? I think I missed it...

You are making some ridiculous assumptions about game developers that will never hold true, like that they will maximize every game for each platform on which they are publishing the game.

Greater horsepower doesn't necessarily mean more effective, and rarely means more efficient. The X360 proved that MS can evolve over time and continuously improve their product, while the PS3 proved the opposite for Sony (my blu-ray player has a nicer dashboard than my PS3). The XB1 is prepared for hardware-driven tiled resources when/if developers choose to utilize the technology - which would result in significantly less RAM needed to process - back to the original point of this article.

It depends how much they can get out of those extra architecture features.
