That's odd because I'm playing games at 4K and you are not, when I'm bored gaming I can then put an Ultra HD Blu-ray disk in the Xbox1X and watch movies in the best possible quality, you can't.
So yes it's big achievement.

Most PS4 owners would pay $100 just to have Free backward compatibility with every previous PlayStation which the Xbox one already has.

Go check out this site out where everyone is giving their predictions on when PS5 will launch, I think it’s crazy that some people really think PS5 will launch anywhere from 2021-2023. https://www.resetera.com/threads/ps5-launch-speculation-timing-and-specification.3436/

Forget the console war. Let's keep this on topic. The CryEngine is basically a brute force game engine designed for PC, because it lacks advanced optimisation for consoles such as PS4 and PS4 Pro. It just piles on features in layers and requires the user to upgrade the PC hardware to compensate. Lazy brute force programming passing the responsibility onto the gullible PC gamer.

Consoles are a closed system so users do not have the option to brute force a response. No wander Crytek were licking their lips after discovering the XB1X had some extra grunt to brute force their lame game engine.

If devs want to sell a game to console gamers, they have to give them a product that is fit for purpose. CryEngine is easy to use, but not the best tool for the job as we saw in the game Prey on PS4. Yes it was awesome on a powerful PC but it was crap on PS4. Luckily the dev eventually saved face by recently putting in the extra optimisation work to make it playable on the PS4 Pro. Better late than never, but they lost money because the game price fell through the floor and I recently bought it for £14.

Exactly. Both consoles offer limited 4K for the early adopters. Although they both have a GPU powerful enough to pull it off, they both have the lame Jaguar CPU bottleneck that cannot manage 4K frames fast enough, even at 30fps.

Most gamers still have a 1080p TV so the main use for the PS4 Pro is to improve performance and increase the graphics quality during the latter 3 years of the PS4 gen.

The 7 year PS3 gen was way too long for most gamers. After year 3, the console started to stagnate as we stopped buying the 3rd party games because they were being pushed way too hard with sub 720p resolutions, blurred anti aliasing, stuttering frame rates and the dreaded eye busting screen tear.

The name calling is getting old and just reveals how childish you are. The PS4 Pro is not designed to be a full 4K console because the hardware is too expensive right now.

It's just a halfway house for the 4K early adopters and offers a way to give better performance during the latter 3 years of the PS4 gen which usually goes pear shaped as devs push the console way too hard in order to keep up with game advancement.

A 4K beast is not required right now because only about 14% of households in the US have a 4K TV. That will change in 2-3 years time when the prices come down and the quality goes up. That coincides with a reduction in price of computer hardware over time. The Ryzen CPU was too expensive to put inside the XB1X at launch, but it will be at the right price for a PS5 in late 2019 - early 2020.

If you bought an expensive XB1X, you have paid an awful lot of money just to get short term 40% bragging rights for 2 years, because MS will just launch the XB2 to compete with the PS5 delivering a full 500% next gen upgrade in 2019-2020.
