Cyberpunk 2077: Flying Cars Can’t Be Controlled By Players

However, they will be used in some missions but we don't know how exactly.

Fans of the cyberpunk genre all over the world still remember the cars they saw in the Bladerunner films. In fact, in the new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, a couple of flying cars were shown as well. It’s quite natural to wonder whether players would be able to control these flying cars in the game, and CD Projekt RED have now confirmed that players won’t be able to control these vehicles.

In an interview with Metro, the game’s level designer Max Pears stated “You won’t be able to control flying cars but they will be used for missions for crucial things.” Perhaps players will be able to make use of these flying cars like a taxi service to get around quickly without being able to actually pilot the vehicle. We’ll have to wait and see how exactly players will be interacting with these vehicles in the game. Pears also added that “the main way to get through will be on foot, cars, and bikes.”

It’s not that big a deal that we won’t be able to fly these cars, but we can hope that an option to do so may be added at some future date as a part of post-launch content. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
