David Hayter’s Solid Snake Tweet Is Possibly Hinting Towards A Metal Gear Solid 5 Follow-up

Take this with a massive grain of salt.

Popular voice actor and the man behind Solid Snake and Big Boss, David Hayter is in the news again. Just to recap, it was theorized that Hayter will return as Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain but that never came to fruition. However few hours ago David Hayter tweeted that he is back in booth recording lines for Solid Snake. However this was quickly debunked as something related to what Colonel Campbell’s voice actor is promoting.

However Metal Gear Solid fans, who are also extremely amazing detectives by the way, found out something interesting hidden behind the script that Hayter tweeted. If you apply some dark filters in the photoshop you can see what is written behind that image. Redditors and Twitter users noticed the following: “technology hasn’t been used since 1984″ hidden behind the script.

Now what is so thought prvoking about that line? Well, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain took place in 1984 and the parasites were a new form technology that was introduced in the game. Back in January 2016, Hayter shared an image on Twitter (see below) where he he hinted he was recording something at Formosa, a studio where previous Metal Gear Solid games were recorded.

I know that all of this is stretching it and Hayter is known to play with his fan base if the pre-release days of The Phantom Pain was anything to go by. Regardless we have reached out to Hayter and have asked for clarification and will update this post when we hear something back.
