Most of the assets should be transferable and indeed most if not all of the code should be as well. They be idiots to build a new engine in house that is completely incompatible with their current works.

Luckily this isn't really a completely new engine, they rewrote a large parts of it so decided to give it a shiny new name, most of this new parts would still have to be compatible with the old parts of the engine. Which means the current assets and code should all still be working.

I wouldn't be surprise if they decide to put infusion onto the licensing market, as that seem in fashion nowadays, for some studios it where the money is as well, an Infusion is a much more marketable name than RV Engine.

This is incredibly unfortunate. It basically means starting over as I'm sure none of their old code is compatible with the new engine and chances are most of the assets aren't either. This is the hole duke nukem fell into. 3drealms kept changing engines as engine tech advanced. They would see a new feature in some engine and want it bad enough to switch over. Day z should just switch to unity. It's backwards compatible with older versions and they add support for new technology all the ttime
