Mojang.

That's the one development studio that every other development studio should follow. Make a great game, sell it at a fair price, and then continuously improve upon it with free updates for years and years and years.

I have to agree with your opinion d0x360. Even the way they're marketing the Taken King just screams Call of Duty. The trailer for it matched almost exactly to how they show off CoD DLC's. They showed guns, enemies being blown up, more guns, slow motion walk scene, more explosions, more guns, and at the end of the trailer the ONLY thing you were left with certainty was that "Oryx is coming"... This might be the last DLC I buy with games like The Division coming around the bend.

In reply to <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/destiny-5-developers-bungie-could-learn-from#comment-264086">Starman</a>.

Microsoft kept bungie on a tight leash. They had someone ffrom Microsoft in studio at all times keeping them on track.

They also had use like you said of Microsoft r&d which wasn't just technology it was also stuff like story and direction. Microsoft also has the industry's best play test toolset hands down. It's so accurate it can lay out boring or problem sections in a map by inches. There is a reason people who played halo mp can remember the names of 10+ maps. I played alot of destiny mp but I can't name a single map beyond something like moon or mars. U can't think of a single area on a single map where I experienced some epic moment but I can think of tons from halo. Why? Sometimes a little bit of supervision leads to a better game.

All Activision cares about is money. They said have it done by date X and that's probably it. So we got a game with no story no content and alot of expensive dlx that just kept using the same enemies and areas over and over and OVER

Who wrote this? Rocksteady a team that just released one of the worst ports in history and then ubi soft massive a team that hasn't rewlesede ANYTHING!

Seriously... You guys have been majorly slacking the last couple weeks. Use some common sense here please.

Really the only listed dev that belongs here is cdpr. Blizzard hasbt done anything of note in years. WOW launched how many years ago? Thats their biggest thing in a decade. If the criteria is doing something then why not also add Atari to the list for the 2600? Why not Activision for establishing the 3rd party model?

This should be written about modern developers of modern games not decade only mmos, unreleased games and broken games that are good but only on some platforms.
