Plus – Aliens killed? This was clearly compiled by someone who isn’t that familiar with the game. I’ve never heard the term alien used to describe the adds at any point by either the game, Bungie or Activision!

For me the most interesting stat is only 77 hours played? That’s only just 3 days and a bit. Does that suggest that the average player bails after completing the story? That surely doesn’t bode well for the obvious aim of creating an addicted user base that will buy the future DLCs?

In reply to Psionicinversion. Yea, you gotta pay close attention to how they word their press releases. The game has unquestionably sold really well but I think the user base has been shrinking instead of growing and thats why they only talk about registered users and not active users.

In reply to Psionicinversion. No it isn't. 17 million registered users is 17 million characters. They count each character as a user regardless of whether you are one person with 50 characters or 2.

In reply to d0x360. well 17 million registered users is 17 million sales. 1 account per PSN or Xbox ID, you have 2 accounts that 2 PSN or Xbox ID Thats why PSN doesnt or didnt allow you to change your ID incase you were griefing ppl

In reply to Psionicinversion. Yes it does because registered users is irrelevant. You could sell 10 copies and have 17 million registered users. Thats why they are using that particular stat, it means absolutely nothing and doesn't show how many people actually use the game. It would be like a YouTube video with 100k views but 99k are from the guy who posted it.
