Thank you for an honest article. But…

How can this not be a bad thing? How long do we have to put up with game sites lying to us about how good something is going to be only to have the reality smack us in the face?

Right in the middle of GamerGate here a perfect example of what is wrong with game journalism. All the sites did was act as advertisers for a game that clearly did not deserve it. Destiny touts ‘150 critic awards and nominations’ so that is 150 dishonest people/places is it not?

How can that not matter?

On the plus side, I’ve been reading a lot of articles comparing it (unfavorably) to other titles that I have not played much, or at all. I imagine one of those games will wind up becoming the one I play most in October.
In the meantime, I do want to spend some more time with Destiny. It’s clear that the experience is far more fun if you have friends that also play it, and so the time to play is NOW, before they move on to something else.
