As it stands right now getting a refund for a broken, unfinished (MassEffect Andromeda) or severely bugged video game that you bought digitally is a pain to the point most customers don't get their refund back from Sony,Microsoft.
Microsoft just announced they are going to pretty much follow Steams policies in regards to digital refunds.....which is great for US the consumer.
Now we need Sony to follow suit.......

Shop at better stores. Ebgames Australia has a 7 day no questions asked return guarantee. I'm sure that's not an Australia specific deal. Rights to a refund are also required by law.

"Why should anyone get a refund for a digital copy"
Plenty of reasons, game is broken, not the product as it was advertised (no mans sky), and how ever many other possible reasons that could be as unique as the number of people who request a refund.

Most decent country's also have laws that don't leave the consumer entirely at the mercy of the seller. Origin and Steam (and soon Microsoft) both have robust, transparent and fair refund policy's thanks to decent countries that have better consumer law.

Any fool who calls a good refund policy "unnecessary" or asks "why should they?" obviously isn't smart enough to understand basic consumer law, or has some fools agenda. Better consumer rights are a good thing.

You can't get refunds for an open physical copy, only store credit. Why should anyone get a refund for a digital copy?
