In reply to John Doe. Yes, but that game happen to have cause confrontation between em' ever since. Namco have stated last year that as far as they know there is no Demon Souls, because that is all up to Sony since they were also part of the development.

Sony only owns Demon Souls. If it’s a Demon Souls 2, it will be a sure exclusive to Sony but that is all speculation for now.

Some have raised the questions though that Demon & Dark souls were based in a Medieval world with it’s gameplay. While Beast Souls is different from either one of em’ being based during the Rennaissance with flint-lock guns with a more halloween like setting to it with werewolves and whatnot, hence Project Beast.

This might be THE game they have always stated as being a brand new Souls, or just Demon Souls 2 in a different era.
