If you search youtube, you will find DX11 vs Open GL comparisons (running on the same rig). DX always wins over Open GL in games performance.

Yeah, because Sony doesn’t have the money to spend on more powerful hardware, but MS does… Money doesn’t make things happen, it’s the talent involved that does, and both companies have talent, but I’d argue that Sony has more. DX has always been behind Open GL and for MS’s consoles, they’ve always used custom APIs because regular DX9/10/11 weren’t good enough.

Sony used APIs on par (maybe even above) with MS’s custom console ones for a long time because they have very talented people in the graphics department. Just look at some of Sony’s best looking games on the PS3 and PS4, those games look that good because of the talented teams, and many people in those talented teams also work in Sony’s ICE team which works on the Playstation APIs.

I hate it when people justify their existence. Attrition is the worst game mode because it requires you to look for crappy bots to kill, that’s not any fun at all and it’s not brilliant game design. It’s a crutch to a deeper issue in Respawn’s game design and it’s something they need to address if they want to continue to get the money of all of the people who disliked the bots and low player count in the first game.

You’re gonna tell me “Respawn said no bots and more players wouldn’t work so I’ll believe them over some guy on the internet”. While true, it’s only true because Respawn doesn’t know how to make it work. They’re not infallible, they can make mistakes and often have made mistakes.

People once said that games would never look better or be as fun as Mario 64. People once said that games would never have better stories than FFVII. Well, you know what? Well you know what? Games got better looking, many games can be considered more fun than Mario 64, and game stories have evolved passed FFVII, but no bots and more players won’t work in Titanfall? Is that really where we draw the line for evolution in game design? I don’t think so and I hope to god that this is not so because it would be a sad day for gamers when gaming can no longer do anything new beyond the first Titanfall.

For the second or third game, Respawn will finally figure it out and the game will be much better off because of it.

No PCs will obviously ALWAYS be more powerful but your statement is absurd. 6 years ago, the best GPU at the time was the 9800GX2 which is beat by both the new consoles. The new consoles aren’t exactly powerhouses but let’s not exaggerate things now.

haha. Funny. People should relax with all the power stuff. I love my consoles, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. PC will always have options to make it stronger. Consoles are convenience in a box. You get what you get.
