first heard about this game when it went on a sale at STEAM in October.

Couldn’t resist the lure to not try it I gave it a go and didn’t end up disappointed.

game is well supported by the devs, gets regular updates, has many game modes from your casual ctf/dm to tournament/lone wolf and more.

plenty planes to choose from, many maps to play and for those who love achievements there are quite a few (with some really challenging ones).

if you like air fighter simulators with arcade elements – it is a must have!

You won’t walk away dissatisfied!…

Hi Will.

I think with the regular release of patches Darkwater studios addressed the vast majority of your criticisms. the controls (althgouh I found them intuitive from beta) are fully customisable, joypad, sticks, and even saiteks are now fully integrated.

more maps, more planes, more content has all been rolled out.

I really think you should give these indie devs (its their first commercial title and if I'm not mistaken its the first ever game to come from Ireland) another lookover.

my thoughts are as follows.

Brilliantly blurs between arcade racer and fps-action, Dark Water has established itself a refreshing franchise that is sure to see sequel after sequel.

A definging template that is sure to see a plethora of me-too titles from the bigger studios.

Remember Dark Water did it first!

88%.

Will, I think you need to put more hours into this game and get some more online action.

single-player is good (survivor, free flight, capture the flag) fun but 16-player online dogfights are a real blast.

patches are regular and the software house is independant and chat alot on IRC.

my score is 75 out of 100
