You seem to be hailing everything that is wrong with DA2. Mass Effect was a horrible try hard RPG that I can't even be bothered to complete. I don't want the main character to have a voice in an RPG and I want control over what he says, not just select one of 3 options based on an emotion.
As for the combat, one of the best things about it was the combat system, it contains a high level of strategy not just random button mashing.
And really please put your articles through a spell checker before publishing them, your meant to be a professional writer, take some pride in your work. My 13 year old daughter could do a better job than you.

Well, you can't expect a philosopher writing an articles about games. Its what a gamer tells you what they think. But I agree with you on the grammer mistake. I am a Dragon Age fan, and I agree that Dragon Age 2 shouldn't become a button mashing game, it should be a real-time, turn based strategy RPG that we all love.

Sorry, but this article was a huge miss. Poor editing - sloppy at best, really. It also failed epically on so very many levels. Of course, in Origins, the character didn't automatically do the action. It was a turn-based strategy RPG, not fucking God of War. If you wanted mindless button-mashing, you should buy God of War or any number of its clones. Is it so wrong that people want something BESIDES button-mashing for a change?

Alright now this is nothing against you (the writer) but I feel like I have to voice this trend I've been seeing.
There are so many articles claiming insight into a particular matter, and instead have next to no new information, as well as nearly no opinion in a supposedly opionated article. Along with the terrible amount of spelling mistakes, I wouldn't even call this article high school worthy; I'm in high school, and I write much better than this. Please, if you're going to take the time to write an article, and expect people to read it, then at least take pride in your work, and do it well. I think everyone agrees.

They completely raped the original game, it looks to be a Mass Effect 2 clone now, just with a new skin.
It's sad because DA1 was such a good game.

I might pick it up when it hits the bargain bin.

"Dragon Age’s combat was more like that of an RTS, without the RTS elements it should have had to completely qualify as one. Pressing a button gave the character a command, but there was no immediate, visible effect to that. While the strategic elements of the game were quite simply spectacular, a simple normal gamer would want to have normal combat in a game he has spent his money on."

In other words, you're a fucking noob who can't handle strategy. That doesn't make the combat "unpolished." Go play some button mashers and leave RPGs alone if all you're going to do is advocate for them to be dumbed down.
