Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Dragon Ball has mostly seen its gaming representation in the many fighting games that have released from the license over the years. Next year, something a little different from the franchise is coming in the form of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, an RPG that covers the early years of Z. And today we got new screenshots from the game via the game’s publisher.

While they haven’t detailed how far into the mythos the game will go, it does at the very least seem to feature stuff up to the classic Frieza saga. You can see below that the game will have a lot of iconic moments and battles, while capturing the look of the show well. This part of the Dragon Ball timeline is pretty well worn, but we do know the game will feature some original interactions not in the anime or manga version of Z, so there should be new stuff for everyone.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release early next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
