The reason NIER and Drakengard haven’t got great sales is cos hardly anyone has heard anything about them. NIER is considered by a lot of people as one of the best hidden gems there but was released in absolute silence and Drakengard has had little more than a couple trailers. You could be the best game director in the world but if you get no marketing its meaningless.
