Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey Kickstarter Now Up and Running

The resurrection of the Dreamfall franchise continues with Red Thread Games’ Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey, which will serve as the epic conclusion of the series. And lo and behold, the Kickstarter for the adventure title is now up and running.

The story is focused on Zoë Castillo, the Dreamer, but will feature three playable characters across familiar surroundings that benefit from new mechanics and puzzles. Environments will vary from a cyberpunk future to the dreamy Storytime and the magical realm Arcadia.

Dreamfall Chapters will feature the same 3D point-and-click interface as previous entries, which is also the standard for most adventure games.

With 29 days to go, the project has already gathered 2,552 backers with $146,606 pledged of its $850,000 goal. No small feat indeed, but it’s a testament to how loved the Dreamfall series was back in the day.
