Oh and one more thing.... your reaction on the LBP 2 gamplay is the reason that this is the 1st and last time I'll coming to this site to read anymore of your reviews. You were dissapointed? Why? They were complying with what the fans had been hearing about wanted to see. They basically showed off some of the new game creating tools we had read and heard so much about. I for one was satisfied with that much knowing (as any one with common sense should) that it wouldnt be wise of them to start showing too much more all in one presentation. who cares? obviously we'll soon get to see the rest of what we werent shown in time. wow.... this is a perfect example of how biased reviewers will find a way to b*itch about anything. sheesh! =P

Wow this is the biggest fail of an e3 review ever. not only were they obviously biased, alot of the information here is misrepresented, exaggerated, or just plain out wrong.
1. e3 left you with horrifying memories from the Sony conference? really? i was almost tempted to ask you if you saw the MS conference when it turns out you did, giving MS a C+ and Sony a B. and yet its Sony that you complain about in the opening paragraph. Bias...
2. Are you seriously going to tell me it wouldve been nice if Sony stopped showing off its motion control at Tiger Woods PGA 11? Do you realize they are a company thats trying to sell a peripheral? As a consumer, how will you be tempted to buy the controller if all they show you is its usage through a stupid golf game? fool
3. Sony + Coca Cola partnership= WTF moment? wow... what a way to overreact. If that constitutes a wtf moment to you then that Gabe Newell thing must've had your jaw dropping to the floor.
4. Please do research or at least make it seem like you were paying attention to the conference. Heroes on the move is nothing like smash bros. i mean honestly did you fools even watch gameplay of it. During no point of the vid did it show ratchet, sly, and jak fighting each other. Get your facts right before misleading people.
5. Another example of why you need to pay attention, Gran Turismo does not come out in October, its release date was announced for November 2.
6. Nintendo conference was good and I like the fact that they plan on bringing back the classics i love (being a nintendo and sony fan myself) however they have no plans for any new ips on the wii which is what they need i think. how long do they plan to live in the shadow of their former success? their conference was less than earth shattering and i was expecting you to share some of that sentiment and then you turn around and give it an A+. -___- I guess i cant fault you for that one, its just your skewed opinion, but I was just expecting that you (being a reviewer for the average consumer) would at least share some of ours opinions. Everyone knows Sony's conference was best of the 3, i guess you were to butthurt to give them anything other than backhanded compliments. I hope you lose your jobs in the very near future. :)

Yes, but there is a difference. Nintendo keep using their franchises because:
1) They're well-developed. Everybody knows how much time it can take to develop a franchise properly, so that it has a strong brand name and people recognize it as a force to be reckoned with. Ninteno don't need to do that, their franchises are already way more strong than most of the others out in the market.
2) They bring every new game with not just graphical updated, but most of the times, the overhaul the gameplay in such a way, that the traditional series formula, at its core, remains the same, yet never grows stale.

Sony and Microsoft need new IPs because they aren't as strong as Nintendo, and neither are their franchises, except for a select few, and because they don't have as many franchises as Nintendo does... I'm not saying Sony and MS are any less than Nintendo is, but it's just that Nintendo is a more experienced company.

In reply to <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/e3-2010-our-impressions#comment-20953">Navin</a>.

Maybe that's because Nintendo don't NEED any new IPs? Nintendo have been around for more than a quarter of a century, they have over fifty IPs, and all of them have more value and prestige than most of the other successful franchises these days. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, SSB, Pokemon and the like are enough to keep Nintendo alive for the next fifty years, if not more.
And it's not as if creating a new IP would be any good at all, if it had the same gameplay as other existing games, which is what most new IPs are about these days anyway. At least NIntendo mix and match things up so thoroughly with each new instalment in their existing catalog of franchises that they don't NEED new IPs.

This is soo sickening to see. So many gaming sites saying Nintendo were the best because they had the best showing.....That's soo typical! All Nintendo does is re-hash old franchises and because of nostalgia, all the gaming sites love it, regardless of how much BS it really is! They take their baised opinions and force it upon the younger generation who don't know any better. Until Nintendo step up their game, they are a failure! Maybe not financially, but they are to most gamers! One new IP, a mickey mouse, nonetheless and they have the best E3 showing? Yeah right! Dream on......

Very disappointed not to have seen more compatibility with GNU+Linux. The rumor about Valve is that they will have a GNU+Linux client soon.. we can only hope.

Search for "What games would you like to see ported to Linux?" You will find a post with 86 pages and 1,286 posts of games requested to be ported to Linux.

Also search for "Proof - Gamers want GNU/Linux ports" and take a look at the article there. What you find is some research that shows many gaming sites' forums have been queried for Linux game ports.

GNU+Linux is the Universal Operating System. So it only makes sense that GNU+Linux could also be the most scalable and successful Universal Gaming Platform as well.

Perhaps with Google Chrome Linux, we will see something different at next year's E3.
