EA Will Be Showing Multiple 2018 Games At E3

Challenge everything.

Time was, when a company used to show off something at E3, we’d expect it to be released within a year or so. Oh, sure, there were always outliers- games like The Legend of Zelda, or The Last Guardian, or Final Fantasy– but on the whole, most games that were shown off at E3 would release within a year, year and a half at most.

That has been changing over the last year or so- for instance, none of the major games showcased at Sony’s E3 conference will be launching until 2017, or nearly two years later. And now, it seems as though EA will be taking a leaf out of Sony’s book too, because they’ve hinted that they will be showing off multiple games from beyond 2017 at their EA Play presser at E3.

We can probably begin to guess what those might be- Bioware’s new IP, perhaps, as well as some of the other Star Wars projects they have in the pipeline. Hopefully, though, the focus is squarely on the games that will be in our hands within the coming year.
