EDGE Magazine 2012 awards list Revealed

Some interesting choices there by EDGE.

EDGE Magazine has honored Dishonored with its best game award, and it’s not a surprise since they award originality more. Dishonored came out earlier this year to some spectacular scores worldwide, of course not spectacular but the scores were really good and the game managed to sell more than Bethesda’s expectations.

Spelunky is an indie game, followed by XCOM: Enemy Unknown which we really loved as well. Trails: Evolution and Super Hexagon came at the fourth and fifth place respectively.

Journey won the best visual design and that’s not surprising since it was really good. Ubisoft won the publisher of the year, which again, was not a surprise considering they released Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry 3.

Arkane won the studio of the year for Dishonored and it’s something that is well deserved for created an original game. Beat Sneak Bandit won the award for the best audio design and having never played the game it has me intrigued.
