I gameshare with someone and I am glad I do, I have a lot of the same sentiment as the poster. After putting a pretty decent amount of time into it I am glad I am not the one who bought it. I have played Risen and liked it, and this game feels nothing like it even though it’s made by the same company. The mechanics seem clunky and very sluggish, the combat just seems primitive and slow, especially melee.

I love the progression system in it though, it makes you work for what you want and want to be and that’s good, but it also feels rewarding while you’re doing it instead of that mauled by an early level Rotboar feeling. If the game didn’t have the frame issues and faster “snappier” more responsive combat with the in-depth progression system it would be imo, amazing.

You can tell these reviewers are young, because they think it’s copying Dark Souls combat, when it’s more akin to what PB has always done with both the Gothic and Risen titles that they are famed for. Your critique is long winded, phoned in, derogatory, and lethargic at best, because you lacked research.

This could be another game which most players won’t play but the ones who’s do love it. I bought Technomancer on sale and it reviewed bad and I ended up loving it. I will probably pick this up on a good sale.

Good review.
I had a feeling this game would be an epic fail after seeing its initial gameplay footage, but I had no idea it would be this bad, makes me wonder what the developers were doing after alpha, I barely seen any improvements even after so many months. Though I did see a stream of someone taking down a huge robot with nothing but archery, that whole mixing science fiction with fantasy didn’t work out at all, it just makes no sense and looks hilarious. Maybe it will be worth getting at half price just to have a good laugh.
