It isn’t if no one wants it, like with Windows 8 that wasn’t looked at and done in the right way so no one at the time would touch it,
it’s not the way foward for everyone so paying for the service and paying for your games constantly over wifi is the future? and with the flaws that come into that!

Ultra fast internet will be a lot cheaper by 2018. Microsoft might even have the next Xbox in line for fall 2017. The first Xbox was 2001 – 2005. Even though they’ve been making an awesome recevory because of Phil Spencer they’re sales are so behind ps4 why wouldn’t they make Xbox two in 2017.
