As for Press Play….they made Max and Kalimba. Both supposedly good games and they had an upcoming game that people voted on. This one seems like a weird move.

While I am saddened by the fact that I won’t get to play Fable Legends (seemed like a fun idea on paper) it must be damming to Lionhead’s top brass when MS decided to cancel a game that was supposedly at later stages of beta. Must have not been a very good game.

Now. While this is bad news. I think something needed to be done in regards to Lionhead. MS chose to shutter the studio…. but couldn’t they have done a company wide reorganization while keeping the Lionhead name? the name still carries some weight around and its always easier to fix a studio (fire top brass and replace them) than to start a new studio from scratch. I think the main problem with MS is that once they buy out studios, they lack oversight and follow through to make sure their “purchases” keep on doing good work instead of coasting around doing whatever with MS’s unlimited money.

My question is what are they going to do with that money instead….maybe give it to Rare? Ms only had Rare, Lionhead, Lift London and Press Play studios in the UK….now they only have 2 studios and not even sure wth is Lift London even doing.

the 1st was the best and actually pretty fun..after what came next I just gave up on it long ago..
