Oh, gotcha. Yeah I'm aware of that-I've noticed that pattern as of late. If each character had their own personality and dialect or vernacular, perhaps that could solve the problem to an extent, but only so much, as there's still other hurdles that exist beyond the voice of the performance-as motion capture is required just as equally. I think instead of doing motion and voice separately, they should do actual performance capture for the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout 4. Well I'm not saying they just take what made those games great and BS it. They analyze what made the games good, improve where improvement is needed and then add original and creative ideas that will set the game apart from earlier installments while staying true to its DNA. Like I said, you just haven't been playing the right games to showcase how much Wii U has to offer, or the type of game play the GamePad dons is just not for you. Look out for the Wii U version of Project CARS as Slightly Mad Studios said themselves it will showcase its hidden powers, and also for upcoming games like Mario Kart 8 and X and other high profile titles as I think in 2014 every console will get its chance to shine so don't write it off just yet until the game lineup is more complete for a better analysis of the usefulness of the system to you. Wiggle arms? you obviously have NOT played Skyward Sword. Play that, and you'll see that (shamefully I admit) it's the game the Wii should've had on day one so that devs wouldn't leave it hanging mostly even though it sold beyond expectations. the killer app is not a thing of the past and that game proves it, but maybe too late for Wii's case as Wii U is out now. VR is not coming to consoles for a LONG time. not even Oculus Rift will support any of the next gen consoles as we speak. Nintendo's main philosophy is to make games fun, hence the game play driven focus. And believe it or not they actually admitted that they only reason they keep going back to older IP is because they best represent the ideas they have on paper onto the actual products they end up releasing for their franchises. Plus, I don't know if you've heard, but they're actually working on a new IP right now, but most likely on a smaller scale than their first party. Also, the newest IP Nintendo has had since Zelda and Mario are actually Mother (Earthbound), Kid Icarus, Wii Party, Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Metroid, Kirby, Pokemon, Pikmin, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, F-Zero, Star Fox and Animal Crossing-half of which haven't been used for too long in their own stand alone games, and a wealth of IP beyond Mario and Zelda if you ask me. Although I do get their consoles primarily for their first party IP, I have actually played third party exclusive games or multiplats such as Brain Age, Big Brain Academy, and Call of Duty, and Batman;Arkham City Armored Edition so I'm not a big fan boy who just blindly buys all their products when they come out and get everyone regardless of quality, as I played NSMB2 on 3DS and had to admit it actually sucked compared to NSMBU which came out on Wii U later in 2012. And also I played Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and didn't like it even though I'm a musical person and into Nintendo, and other products besides Nintendo. As for you, if you really think you have Nintendo all figured out, you literally know nothing about them at all and the tour de force they will bring to impact the video game industry all over again by the time 2014 ends and we feel the aftermath of their success and the innovation they will bring to the industry, no matter how much people don't want to believe because they don't understand the complexity of the scale which Nintendo brainstorms their ideas and brings them to market in the simplest yet most unique, intuitive way possible. I don't drink Kool Aid btw. I prefer Hawaiian Punch-fruit punch flavor specifically. Nintendo is recovering and learning from their mistakes-the eShop is a great example of many. whether you choose to believe Nintendo is capable of change is up to you, it's not my job to persuade; only for you to understand my perspective. Goodnight, and don't give up on Nintendo before giving them on last chance and honestly saying that they did put effort, regardless if they swayed you with their charisma or not.

You're not getting what I'm saying here. It's not the saying of the lines at key parts, that's the easy part. It's paying the actors to say the lines/words on such a massive level. RPGs often have new words that are not in dictionaries and also combine slang and accents to create an authentic NPC. If they had a computer program that said all the words at the right time there would be no way to seperate one NPC from another or create the semblance of authentic conversation.
I disagree with you again, everytime Bethesda releases a new RPG in one of these series it's top of the line across all consoles and even several years later is considered to be a great RPG (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas). With all the stuff they have shown us in each series I think they can improve on what they've started but I would hardly even begin to say they don't try in any way.
If they took pros from 3 and FNV and made Falout 4 it'd be terrible, people are looking for improvements and expansions (especially on new game console with expanded RAM capabilities) on previous game content, not just the best of what was there. If they released the best of what was in some city (san francisco or Boston) then they would waste a terrible opportunity.
I've seen and tried a little bit of both those games and several others, the Wii and the Wii U just aren't gaming consoles. Their controllers aren't feasible or efficient and the concept of being active while video gaming is way over the top, all you really need to do is wiggle your arms to achieve the active games. Eventually we'll be in a virtual reality style of gaming and Wii just makes all other consoles (Xbox360 with paid annual subscription fee and Ps3 that gets hacked constantly) look perfect. Then to go announce that virtually nothing but games are changing between Wii and WiiU proved to me that Nintendo is just out for the cash grab from publicity. They built up their games a long time ago, Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong and those games can be redone a lot of times but they need to switch it up otherwise it's running on fumes. Think, between the first Zelda and now we've had games such as Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Call of Duty, Halo, Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy created and they're still releasing Zelda games as its main attraction. If you feel like they're not fu/cking with you when you buy a console for 2-4 games every 5 years you're drinking the Kool aid man.

They won't have to worry about budget. They can create a software that memorizes actors' voice patterns and then program the software to generate lines based on what happens in the world. The actors will still be doing their voices, but not as much, while still retaining the authenticity of the performance. Like how Apple programmed Siri to say different things based on what you say to her. Your race recruiting idea is interesting. I think whether single player or multi player are more important for Bethesda will all fall on how well The Elder Scrolls Online does. but yes even though single player is still a big part of both franchises Bethesda can give it more umph, as I feel they just don't try when they get the opportunity to make it better. I think if there's the right balance between story and game play RPGs would actually benefit from it and not be hurdled by the change in pace. I find Fallout more interesting and think as its own franchise it takes itself MUCH more seriously than The Elder Scrolls. Yeah, I wonder actually how early into the 7th generation when it began devs could really gather player data and determine where to go next, or least figure out how to use the data to assess player data and improve their games, as I read an article where Infinity Ward I believe said MS had closed off gates in the system's architecture until they mastered what they know and then opened more doors once they got the hand of it, and utilize in different ways only if they knew how it all tied together and worked so I think that gathering player data was one of those things they got that benefited THEM early on but didn't tell anyone else until they found ways it benefited the PLAYER so no one would be suspicious of NSA, etc. Yeah it should be the world is your tool and that the types of resources are limitless but the quantity of each only holds so much value or only exists in so many places in that world. I think they will combine what they did with the pros of Fallout 3 and FNV and make that Fallout 4, unless they scrap everything they did and start out fresh for the new consoles to take advantage of all they have under the hood. I want flexibility without the confusion, if you know what I mean. P.S. If you really think Wii and Wii U are terrible systems, then you haven't been playing the right games. I beseech you to play Skyward Sword on Wii and Super Mario 3D World on Wii U, and you will become a believer. My family already had Wii from the start but didn't become Wii U believers until they played Super Mario 3D World. If that doesn't convince you, then it's your loss. Just warning you know in case you wanna change your mind, and base it on your experience, and not what the internet says about it.

In reply to <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/fallout-4-fast-travel-walk-talk-auto-drinking-and-eating#comment-210729">Nintendo Fan 4 Lif3</a>.

I completely disagree with what you're saying in regards to changing races and adding perspectives that way lol. Technically it is do-able but the way you described it would still have the world reacting to your race-meaning 1 000 people would have different things to say to your new race at each part of the storyline, simple Budget costs put that on par with the greatest earning MMoRPG's of our time and the world would be half the size of Ocarina of time (Imagine the valley Riften is in). Now to make something like that cost-efficient they could do something where you play as one race and along the way you have the option to recruit one or two people from each race (maximum party size of 3 including you) and have conversations with them that bring to light their interactions. Having a mandatory sleep time every few days (might entice people to rent a room in a tavern for once) could also trigger conversations with the companion. I think with the buzz for multiplayer that Skyrim brought having an expanded companion questline/story would benefit ES and Fallout-now that's not to say Fallout is bad, they do a pretty good job with their followers but they can definitely up it. It's hard because Fallout there is a lot less predjudice-Skyrim everybodies racist-but Fallout if you're not shooting them they love you! lol. Your way is posible for games that are mainly action or anything realy that doesn't require a diverse storyline because it would slow things down way too much in an RPG-and that's saying something for a game you already call slow and boring at times lol.
I just finished fallout new vegas old world blues DLC and they have AI's that process certain items into materials (with neat dialogue-killer toaster-seditous hating book terrorizing machine) and you could tell they really wanted to see the feedback. I'm not sure how that went for them when it first came out but I hope it means they'll expand into a true survival type world. Instead of being able to make things from animal hides and old bullets/meds you should be able to make things from stone, earth, metal shaping shouldn't be impossible as you have access to plasma and lasers so creating any kind of forge or refinary wouldn't be hard (with repair and science skill-and survival skill). I think FNV was a good judge for the actual survival mode, I think they will take a step back on the next game, 2nd ones usually follow in the same footsteps and the initial 'this is different' feeling isn't there for gamers as much because they have seen it before. The bar is high and hopefully Bethesda gives it their all to provide us with a game that is as flexible as it can imply.

I completely disagree with what you’re saying in regards to changing races and adding perspectives that way lol. Technically it is do-able but the way you described it would still have the world reacting to your race-meaning 1 000 people would have different things to say to your new race at each part of the storyline, simple Budget costs put that on par with the greatest earning MMoRPG’s of our time and the world would be half the size of Ocarina of time (Imagine the valley Riften is in). I think with the buzz for multiplayer that Skyrim brought having an expanded companion questline/story would benefit ES and Fallout-now that’s not to say Fallout is bad, they do a pretty good job with their followers but they can definitely up it. It’s hard because Fallout there is a lot less predjudice-Skyrim everybodies racist-but Fallout if you’re not shooting them they love you! lol. Your way is posible for games that are mainly action or anything realy that doesn’t require a diverse storyline because it would slow things down way too much in an RPG-and that’s saying something for a game you already call slow and boring at times lol.
I just finished fallout new vegas old world blues DLC and they have AI’s that process certain items into materials (with neat dialogue-killer toaster-seditous hating book terrorizing machine) and you could tell they really wanted to see the feedback. I’m not sure how that went for them when it first came out but I hope it means they’ll expand into a true survival type world. Instead of being able to make things from animal hides and old bullets/meds you should be able to make things from stone, earth, metal shaping shouldn’t be impossible as you have access to plasma and lasers so creating any kind of forge or refinary wouldn’t be hard (with repair and science skill-and survival skill). I think FNV was a good judge for the actual survival mode, I think they will take a step back on the next game, 2nd ones usually follow in the same footsteps and the initial ‘this is different’ feeling isn’t there for gamers as much because they have seen it before. Well for game play this time around, instead of the Dark Souls-esque approach like Witcher 2's combat, they're going for a more tactical, realistic approach for The Witcher 3. Yeah, if loading screens only happen rarely or once in awhile, that's fine. Don't want it to be like The Last of Us where you literally waited minutes in the beginning of the game after pressing start just to see the first cutscene. Yeah I know what you mean about switching between first person and third person. Yes, the later Zelda games are good. If you like realistic graphics, Twilight Princess will be the go to game, though they're dated and the story is heavily borrowed from past games and very few additions to actual game play. If you want great game play and great story that go with an art style that compliments the world, go for The Wind Waker- in fact just go get a Wii U so that you can play The Wind Waker HD and also play Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, as Wii U supports backwards compatibility for Wii retail games and Wii Virtual Console games. Yeah there has to be a balance for each race if they were to do that, but I think it's doable. I was trying to say like each race is their own unique character in that there is a preset for each race from the get go and you choose each individual race to play one at a time, like how in Sonic Adventure DX you could choose from Sonic and the other characters as they each had their own perspective on the world and story that you played through and got a different interpretation of the events for each game depending on who you played but with the same ending. They could make it so that if you decide to play Nord for some time, and then you switch to the story for HIgh Elf, the High Elf's world or perspective would be influenced by the actions you did as a Nord and changed what they ended up doing from if you hadn't played it first or done it vice versa, of course being able to customize each and all the other races too. So it's like they're part of the same game and feel the benefits and consequences of each other's actions instead of being play the Nord first and then see how High Elf compares-it can create a level of dynamism never before seen in video games and bring choice making to a whole new level. Yeah that could work too for the quests. Fallout 4 surely won't disappoint. I see survival being big but possibly they might a horror element since it is post apocalyptic after all.

Even so I'll still group the two together in my mind. I imagine an open world witcher game to be on the 3/4's size of the dragon age world simply because witchers team doesn't really push the limits of what they can do, they'll explore options (like console on witcher 2 or open-world for 3) but not push them to the right levels to enhance gameplay.
Well yeah, Dragon Age 2 is a terrible example compared to the first one and if you have a chance check out the DLC for the first one, that one was worth it.
Loading screens aren't a problem if they are shortened like on Skyrim if they enhance the overall environment but I was just using the loading screens on the past two to show how they've really focused on providing a better environment while not compromising loading times.
Not sure it'd make sense to have 3rd person puzzles in Elder Scrolls or Fallout games simply because you're supposed to be creating your character and they want it to feel like your character is you as much as possible-which is why they build their worlds to primarily suit 1st person to try and enhance the overall imersion into the game. 3rd person is an option and sometimes it's useful to see around doors or raised levers that I might've been to derp to see from first person but I wouldn't want to constantly switch between the two like some Zelda games do.
I try not to follow Zelda because Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were the two best games from my childhood and I feel like the rest would just be cash grabs that really ruin them for me. I've heard good things about the later games and have a basic knowledge from word-of-mouth but that's the extent of it. I also wouldn't want to buy a Wii so looking them up might make me want to buy one lol. I am satisfied with my xbox360 for now.
I left his one for last because it's a big problem, if they were too make quests for each race you choose in ES games they would eclipse their budget before finishing half of the storyline. Imagine 1 000 NPC lines directly corelating to your character and his race and add in the generic stuff if they've heard about your deeds. At least in Skyrim if you were a Nord or High Elf some would recognize you but it really wasn't worth mentioning if you were another race in Skyrim. But I do agree with the more randomly generated quests, night day is good but location is hard simply because in a free-roam game you wont always be in the same place so NPCs designed to pop out while you walk along Road A may appear as you cross it going away and then they might die or whatever which may lead to you never getting another quest there. They could definitely set it so that they would respawn and find you randomly through the wastes but ultimately it would beeasier fif you just went into a town or city and found a barkeep and asked them if they heard any rumors.
I know Falout will have at the very least an above average questline but for me if they really don't make the scavenging worthwhile and perfect all the things you can build (and expand on that-towns-homes-robots-guns) I would be very disappointed. Map sizes getting what they are and later in the series we know we're going to be expert survivalists welll-an expert can make a bunker of sorts to defend himself from the wastes.
