True it was a long time ago, but it was still said after they started acquiring the Fallout franchise. And they only recently finished up the courtroom battle with Interplay in 2012. So in my eyes, they may have only been capable of working on the new installment once it was assured that Interplay couldn’t complete their Fallout Online game. If that is the case, they may only have two years of official research and development done for the game.

Na, the main complaint is that they’ve said NOTHING. They’ve never uttered ‘Fallout 4’ or ‘next Fallout game’.

My comment about hype is in response to those who say that Bethesda are justified in their silence ‘because mentioning the game would build up hype’

You’re right, Seventh. That is indeed how it should work and entirely logical. But something is irrevocably amiss here. And with the information blackout we must draw our own conclusions, however illogically logical they tend to be.
