Fate/EXTRA Record Details Coming August 4th, New Teaser Released

Announced in 2020, the title is a remake of the PlayStation Portable dungeon crawler Fate/EXTRA, released in 2011 for North America.

While Type-Moon has a collaboration with Honkai: Star Rail for Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works next year, it also has Fate/EXTRA Record in the works. It recently provided a new teaser trailer, hyping additional information to be revealed on August 4th. Check it out below.

The teaser doesn’t showcase much outside some of the playable Servants in the title (including Saber, Archer, Caster and more). Nevertheless, it’s the first update for the title in a while. Fate/EXTRA Record was announced in July 2020 and is a remake of Fate/EXTRA developed by Type-Moon Studio BB.

The dungeon crawler launched in 2010 for Japan on the PlayStation Portable before coming to North America in 2011. It received mixed reviews with criticisms against its writing, combat and tedium.

Fate/EXTRA Record doesn’t have a release date or confirmed platforms, but perhaps both will be detailed in August. Hopefully, Type-Moon will also detail the remake’s changes and new features. Stay tuned until then.
