I can understand why the game would underwhelm you by today's standards, but back when Shenmue came out it was nothing short of revolutionary graphics-wise as well as gameplay. The game didn't force feed you the story, you had to search for answers like a detective. Even if it meant asking the same question all over town before you got a lead. And it's not like there weren't distractions to keep you busy. I often found myself spending entire days doing mini-games and going off on side quest type deals instead of trying to progress the story.

Shenmue also created the QTE and surprisingly did it well. Not like how games whore it today. There were branching options in case you messed up instead of instant death like most games opt for. (It's extremely lazy game design btw.) The mystery unravels as you go along and to be honest, it was actually a really fun adventure game and there just isn't a whole lot of other games that even compare.

If you don't like story-based detective action hybrid games, then Shenmue isn't the right game for you. Don't knock it though because it really was a good game and deserves the praise people like myself are still giving it.

Why does everyone want a Shenmue sequel? I've never seen a game that spent so much time delivering so little story. I've played both games (on the Dreamcast and Xbox), but haven't finished either because they're so boring. I literally fell asleep while playing the original, and that has only ever happened to me one other time (does Riven count as a game?).

Please stop asking for this game; Sega could be spending quality time making fun games rather than a forty-hour snorefest that five people will buy. How about a sequel to the Panzer Dragoon RPG, huh? I know it wasn't a Dreamcast game, but at least it was fun. Or perhaps a sequel to Skies of Arcadia? Please stop these senseless requests for Shenmue. Just stop.

Can someone please check your articles' grammar and structure before you post them? They honestly make no sense.

I'm sorry if English isn't your first language, but you really should write in your native tongue.
