Doing that in a space of 4years for the base console will leave a sour taste in customers and you practically are tellingbthem they wasted their money, henceforth everyone might wait till 3years after a new gen to buy your console cos they don't want midgen refreshes to waste their money.

Well lets see how this goes..

Example. If the console cost 50 million to make and release, but only makes 10 million back due to lack of sales then mid gen upgrades wouldn’t be worth the cost.

But if the console cost 50 million to make and release, and then makes 90 million in profits then it’s clearly worth the med gen upgrade.

Let us see if PS4-Pro and Scorpio sell good enough when compared to base model sales.
