Yeah, agree, most mobile/tablet games are garbage shovelware to fill 15 minutes while you are on the go - they do not compare with AAA console or PC games.

LOL...without fail, the only people who make these ridiculous statements, are former console/PC devs who have jumped ship to the low effort/high return money-grab opportunities currently offered with handheld devices and social media. It's the Wii all over again...and no, it won't last, and it certainly won't overtake the console market, no matter what the tech specs are. Jason, you've done nothing since you left ND, except finish killing off THQ, and remake...then rehash...an old game for iPhone.

I suspect that MS will have their next console be a windows RT or x86 device with a standard AMD PC GPU thus giving not only the enthusiast the ability to make a gaming rig that can play Xbox Games, but also taking on Online services like Steam. Let's face it MS is about 70-80% there with this generation and their WIndows 8 apps being able to easily be ported over. If they get this to work it could mean that games could be written for Windows 8 and work on phone, tablet, and Xbox Next as well. unifying the stores and the experience. Either way it could be very interesting depending on how long they keep this generation around.
