GameStop has started selling ‘supercharged’ PlayStation 4 consoles that come with 2 TB of on board storage, as part of their ‘Premium Refurbished’ consoles range. They cost $480, and while they are not new, I guess for the average customer, the prospect of not having to eventually switch the hard drive might be enough to make them splurge.
To be clear, this is not one of the 1TB consoles that Sony is officially selling in Europe as the ‘Ultimate Edition’ systems- this is just a GameStop refurb. We don’t quite know the brand of the hard drive being used here (so we can only hope it’s not Seagate), but I mean, like I said, for those of you who freak out at having to install a new hard drive in your PS4 yourself, this is as good an option as any.
Or you could save yourself a lot of money by just buying a hard drive for less than $100 yourself, and then spending less than a half hour in installing it. Just a thought.
