Well actually it’s bigger than simple corridors judging from E3. The character actually does alot of platforming in a medium sized space. But I agree it’s no where near rpg size….but to me there’s medium space to render. It’s impressive to me…

In reply to Mark. Doom is an indoor corridor shooter game. Usually taking place in an area no bigger than a mere hallway under dim lit conditions, which forgoes you from having to render a lot of detail. Anything can render it at 1080p 60fps in those conditions. The 360 and PS3 could do it.

I must be blind because the textures on the X1 and PC look the same and the overall pictures looks better on the X1. It’s got richer and slightly darker tones, where the PC one is more washed out. Again, textures exactly the same. Maybe the PC has more LOD, that’s about it…I’m saying this because it’s a total shame. PC should have distinguishably more detailed an higher res textures, with greater detail over distances. Seems to me this suffers the Wolfenstein parity lock situation. That is, all platforms are parity locked.

In reply to jon3rockaholic. Stutters like mad on my rig also. seems to have gotten worse. especially with audio its a disaster. with 8GB ram installed it eats up almost 6 of it. Vram it takes 4 of my 6gb.

I have it installed on a good ssd and it still stutters like crazy. This is with a 980Ti and a 4690K as well. The game needs to get patched up.

In reply to Psionicinversion. Yea the game was DX9 got ported to DX12 so that is where the issues are. Hoping a patch can fix the stuttering. I was bench marking it at first the frame rate was kinda crap then after a few mins the frame rate drops kinda went away was averaging around 58fps at maxed settings 1080p but when you play the game and look at fire or any alpha effects the frame rate drops well under 40fps.
