Kimi, the customization is unlocked at a higher level, just like the new levels. I was actually quite disappointed in the levels and gameplay too but once you level up you unlock the newer features like damage and new levels. As someone who has played the earlier gran turismo games, you may have notched that all the earlier tracks are remakes, actually, they’re copies. You can’t play on new tracks right away, you must unlock them. Same goes for customization and damage simulation. The reason the track looks so dramatically better in forza is because that gt5 map was made to be viewed in sd on the ps2. Gran turismo 5 is a massive game that could never go on the xbox, the physics simulator alone would take up more than a dvd could hold. Early experiences about gt5 will be disappointing for some because you aren’t playing it all. Give it a shot before you judge.

And Yes GT5 IS far from perfect still. Shadow edges and rain effects must be reviewed ASAP.

But rouglhly 2 weeks after game launch, already at least 2 patches came out. This shows excelent costumer care and game developing… As a long time gamer, that truly surprised me in a good way.

Forza is also great, and Im glad you guys got Top Gear Test Track aswell.

GT5 and Forza are two of a kind.
I own GT5 and NFS Shift and I like’em both. They are different at what they do.

It’s like comparing Rainbow Six with CoD.

GT5 is a game to enjoy, plan and develop. A game to learn and gain true driving experience. A game to play, and play and play. Forza isn’t. They are clearly different, so stop comparing them.
Forza is good at being a “right now” game. Right now you you may like it, but in the future you will get tired of it because its all the same.

GT5 ISN’T just another racing game.

For those who would like to call my a Sony fanboy: If I had an Xbox I would buy Forza 3 in a heartbeat because I like it aswell. But for those who actually know what they are doing behind a steering wheel…..it just doesnt cut it.

And BTW, crappy comparison for god sakes. BOTH games are badly represented…. except that shot of GT5 with the blue G35. Forza has better graphics than show here, and so does GT5. Google “GT5 Photomode” to see what GT5 is clearly capable of doing.

You have to remeber that many of the photo’s on forza have been edited in the extensive photography section. So The two game’s graphix wise are very simular.
