When I say lots of people, I am ofcourse referring to the PC gaming demographic.

4K adoption wasn’t that high at the time PS4 and X1 were released I believe is the bigger factor in that decision. My 4K is crisp and clear though not the best. I’m not ranting I’m trying make sense to you people and for some reason we’re not seeing eye to eye. No, Nintendo is behind on 4K gaming, they will be done. They have to have it by the time the other two do or sooner. By then it will be affordable and Nintendo can’t refuse it. Nintendo must adapt to that single fact if they are to remain relevant.

At the moment not many of the 4K televisions have adequate display lag for gaming. Likely that played a role in the design of the PS4 / XBOX ONE.

Don’t let these facts get in the way of your rant. BTW if it will be 5 years before Sony and MS implement 4K, I would guesstimate Nintendo is 10-15 years out. 🙂

Because most people are looking at them on their phones…..for example I’m on my phone right now..

lol why even mention phones in relation to a PC game

Obviously the higher resolution the better, but people act resolution alone makes things look amazing, when all it really does it make things look slightly sharper.

Didn’t ever say I wanted that. I don’t want a product if I will never use it much. It may not work in other industries like it does for PC but PC that’s what’s making companies like AMD or Intel money and until they find a different way that benefits them and the consumer they’ll continue it. PC constantly keeps changing forcing consumers to upgrade more than they’d like it really can’t be helped. When you put it like that it all makes the current situation of technology adoption even worse. I don’t think anyone has the dexterity to even simultaneously focus on 5 multi monitor 4K screens. However I think if the products were cheaper people would have the luxury of the technology and we wouldn’t be discussing this. The economy really has made it harder for people to adopt new technology. Growing up I was happy with 480p until I discovered the HD difference. There’s less difference between 4K and 8K than there is 720p and 1080p but I suppose you do have a point on that.
